"Why should I comment? I don't ask for reassurance when people are having a moan about me. I just get on with my job." Sounds like the anti Pearson faction are getting to Nigel. Careful what you wish for.
The Pearson faction is down to one idiot on here now, I don't think that deservers to be called a faction.
Having now heard a bit of the Pearson - Burnsy post-match interview, I'm of the opinion that NP is being purely professional. He said that the correct approach is to be made to the management (Allems and AP?) and that he is doing his job - managing the players. I don't think he's being 'non-committal' whatsoever, but he sounded definitely pissed off with (the idiotic) Burnsy, when he was asked - for the second time - a question he had just answered. I also reckon he doesn't want to leave and wants to continue building his squad. But I do think that, if the management entertain an approach, he will then consider his options. What with the media, the bookies and, now, Leicester fools on this board, it's been a trying week!
Leicester's Thai owners are now aware or have been made aware of what a good job NP did under that clown Mandaric and what a mistake they made taking on that bid time charlie SGE. The Club have now publicly told Leicester to f**k off as have Uddersfield with Lee Clark. This should be the end of the matter. It does remind me however of the episode with Prickly Pete (a similar character to NP) and Palace. AP allowed him to speak to themthen - Adam will have advised the Allams not to make the same mistake again.
Well as you bring that up. In that situation we let him speak to Charlton as they were a PL club. He then came back and said he'd withdrawn his interest and was totally committed to finishing what he'd started here. A week later he was Palace manager. So why do people think that if NP now came out and said he was committed to finishing the job he's started here that it would be the end of anything?
I'm sure regulars on here will know that I detest Dave Burns. I've critiqued him numerous times on various subjects, I've enjoyed Nigel blanking him and making him uncomfortable. So it's with this in mind when I listened to last nights interview. I was actually pleased with how Burnsey put over the point that the fans wanted him to say. I was, for once, genuinely sorry for Burnsey, NP was rude unnecessarily rude. Didn't like his response and well done David Burns for asking and putting across one fans feelings
On the contrary.....I used to rate Burns as a decent sports reporter. Not any more, his persistent nagging at NP over the 'supposed' interest from Leicester was right out of order. He deserved a slap. But lets be fair about it. If Leicester have made an approach and if NP wants to go back to the Crisp Bowl, there is Jack **** the club can do about it...All he needs to do his quit in the morning, then the two clubs can talk compo.....I would be gutted, but life goes on
Sounds like a man who's testing our faith in him. I'm behind him all the way personally, but it only takes a minority (especially given the amount of air-time the neg-heads receive in the local media) to unsettle someone. If things calm down I think NP will stay. In the meantime can we just ignore the WUMs on here and back the manager please, despite potential uncertainty?
