    English journals talk up Mbappe, French journos, "Maguire weakest link. Walker arrogant" Why do we always talk up the opposition? Could it be so that when we lose it would appear it is to a much better team?<steam>

    I decided that after the Morocco/ Portugal game that I needed more than an hour and a half sleep so I didn't get up to watch it. I watched it at 6:30 rather than 3am... oh well there is always next time!

    My 'local' in North Walsham had a blind World Cup lucky dip before the tournament began.
    It transpires I drew Argentina - 20.00 if they lose today, 60.00 if they win! <party>

    The problem with winning £60 in a pub you are likely to leave the pub with £60 less than when you entered. People you have never met will tell you they are life long frie nds.
