Mind you I'm sick of this ****ing of Messi from commentators. "He had no right to control that". He just took a pass in the box turned and shot. Happens 10's of times every single game of football man.
Most of the stuff him, Ronaldo and Neymar do is the basics with flashes of undoubted quality in the big moments but the commentators are determined to make everything world class.........oh my god, look how Messi picks his nose and rakes out a wedgie from his shorts, is absolutely unbelievable and nobody does it like he does
Mac Allister really impresses me. A great midfielder, with a bit of everything. Brighton are a club I have a massive appreciation for, it is the sort of model we seem to copying. They picked him up for £8m, loaned him out, now he is a star man for them and worth probably £30-£40m. The south american market has to be the main one to focus on.
Ignore them mate, most are hopeless - commentators (although I like Keown). Just enjoy these great players while we have them. For me he isnt the greatest but he is amazing, just watch and enjoy them. To me it is like watching the old masters creating a master piece, they make our game beautiful.
I do like watching the players, it's being told what is world class and what isn't, what is 'unbelievable' and what isn't, the commentators seem to say it as if it's a fact and what 'everyone' wants to see rather than just focusing on commentating on the game. Linekar is right up Messis arse here at HT
Hendo lad. What a man. Of all the players this tournament, and we have some absolute class players, he cant be dropped now. Absolute driving force.
It was, and I'll give him that. To take a pass and shoot and for me to be told by Jonathan Pearce that he had no right doing that, behave. I'd be gutted if my son couldn't do that.
Pleased to see Van Gaal change it. His team have been toothless so far. Dont look like they have a goal threat, either in players or playing style.
****ing hell, creaming themselves over a miss now. 'How has he hit the back stanchion from there', 'how has he only missed by an inch' ....
"How did he get so close from that angle?" I would have expected Pritchard to hit the target from there. It was a good effort but not some miraculous hit. I wonder if the pundits would rather Messi won this world cup than England.
Aside from Messi (and that pass for the goal was incredible, regardless of whether you think he's being wanted over), both of these sides are gash. The Dutch look terrible in attack. Resorting to Luuk De Jong FFS
