because he's wayne rooney clearly the best player ever to play football! i watched the CL match the other day an the way the commentators turned it into the rooney show was terrible! like someone miss placed a pass "ooh you wouldn't see rooney doing that" "ooh rooney lost the ball there that's not like him" (dispite doing it 3/4 times in the previous 10 minutes) england for some reason needs a golden boy that's miles better than anyone else, before it was beckham, now it's rooney.
why is rvp wasting his time at a nothing club like arsenal when he could play for a big club, do you reckon? is he too stupid to realise arsenal are bottlers?
How long before RVP jump ships to a bigger club? City need another striker or 5 Who really gives a ****, its a crap game at best
Yyyyyaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn I've got to admit, even as a United fan, it pisses me off the extent to which commentators bang on about him in that over congratulatory manner. Whenever Rooney pops up in our box to make a tackle or clearance they always make the comment about how committed he is. When Berbatov, Hernandez or Welbeck do the same they just ignore it. They used to do the same with Scholes - every time he misplaced a pass it would be "there's a collectors item" or some other ****, when in reality he often misplaced a couple every game cos he was often trying for the spectacular game changing pass. Same with Gerrard and Lampard - every time they miss a long shot it was "that doesn't happen very often" when about 50% of their long shots usually missed the goal. Commentators just love a cliche they can spout, particularly a cliche about an English player.
