Really sorry to hear about that cowardly attack on your son @Smudger603 I hope he's able to put it behind him.

<applause> Well done Children In Need, £35m raised last night :emoticon-0171-star:
Here's a PR tip for Amazon, Shell and BP:

Why don't each of you match that figure out of your mega-profits?

A drop in the ocean for your share-holders, but imagine how much good for kids could be done with £140m <ok>
Indeed, why not pledge to match the total every year?

I have some sympathy for folks with mortgages who have been thrown under the bus by Liz and her mini-budget.
But house prices dropping by 1.4% is terrific news <applause>

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-63818942

Even better if they were to drop by at least 50%.
Then a few working people might be able to afford to buy one.

Fantastic performance for Ben Stokes' England cricket team, which would get more headlines if not for the W/C. I love their style, wonder what Boycott makes of it all?

Hope it isn't that clown Bassini. Or any dodgy mates of Dennis Wise.
To be honest at this point I'd not be totally against Mike Ashley, though I think he is a bit of a cnut.

Here's praying however that it's somebody who has some genuine care for Charlton Athletic :emoticon-0115-inlov

    Morecambe game called off

Sad for anyone with a train ticket or hotel reservation, but no bad thing for us.

It's come to a pretty pass when a cancelled fixture against a team bottom of league 1 is considered good news :(

England didn't bring home the World Cup, but they have returned with Dave the stray cat...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-63943662

    Heart warming <smooch>
Division in the squad though - some players apparently "really don't like him" <laugh>
