Let me say this! I like banter just as much as anyone does! I've had some terrific exchanges with JWM, wellyblue, WCP and many others, but there comes a time when your team captain calls you to arms, you should be there unquestioningly, ready to face the foe! I know you don't know all that has happened in private, but the fact that you have been told that something has happened and your support has been requested and denied, speaks volumes! I am a very, very disappointed man
dave; thai, i have no idea what has gone on behind the scenes but i will respect your decision if you wish to leave as moderator(s). as someone not in the know however, i can only base my view on this particular thread which personally i found as nothing more than a pretty lame attempt to give us city fans some stick on a day where really it could easily have been done the other way around. for me it deserved nothing more than what i gave it - a simple dig back at the bonehead. hopefully you will reconsider and stay on this board as moderators as you are both brilliant on here, almost as good as me!
Come on Dave! You and Thai are integral to the Norwich board and in many ways to ours as well. Surely this is not the right cause to be fighting against lets turn our ire onto Colchester and Peterborough instead!
For me, this has been on the cards for some time but I have held back as some kind of respectability appeared to be creeping back on to our board but as soon as we lose a game (I know you lot have been waiting weeks for this to happen) along comes a total prick who wants to piss off some Norwich fans. I am fed up with pricks like this saying just about anything they feel like and branding it as 'banter' to make it acceptable.
Not really, I am free now and the likes of Guru and Yorkie can come on here (if Dave also resigns) and say what the **** they like - just the way they want it

To be honest, moderators of the Norwich (and Ipswich) board have and always will have our utmost respect. You say that something had happened we do not know about, but that's exactly the point - we didn't know about what this thing was so to say we're not supporting you is a little unfair. In the context of what I have seen, this is a harmless thread, and as I said earlier had Cody McDonald bagged a brace against Ipswich, someone would of made a thread on their board no doubt. So maybe in the context of whatever this dark event was this thread may be crossing a line, but to me it appears perfectly fine, and I am certainly not going to get wound up by it, but saying we're 'not supporting our mods' is simply untrue.
I will say this one last time then I am done - it is the thin end of the wedge! It is not banter but is branded as banter by those who want a bun fight. Let it go and the board will soon become infested with it again but hey, that is no longer my concern. Do what you like - I might even join in an insult a load of you for good measure
Thai You are totally missing the point my friend. This is a harmless post and even your Budgie ahem Norwich colleagues are saying the same thing see DM's last article. We have had it up to here in this country with people taking offence at things on other people's behalf and I am surprised if you are one of those!
If I had the time to moderate this board, trust me, we wouldn't have to worry about 1p5wich fans any longer - I'd ban the flippin' lot of them! No exceptions!

It seems to me most of these problems could be alleviated if we had one single, sticky Norwich - Ipswich banter thread (Like the Liverpool Man U one). Anything posted not on there could then be moderated harshly (I.E even slight hint of WUM like this) whilst the people who are likely to be pissed off could just avoid the thread.
We will have to agree to disagree but always remember I have tried to act for ALL Norwich fans - this is the point I have tried to make time and time again. That is why I do not wum on the Ipswich board - many Ipswich fans do not want to see it and I respect that fact! It's a message that is totally ignored and I just do not understand the lack of respect when it comes to football fans and club rivalries. I am not one of the PC brigade and never will be but I have tried to act responsibly on behalf of my fellow supporters and rid our board of vermin and wum's. I have failed and it is far easier to just let people get on with it, as that seems to be the general consensus, that it is to try and keep striving to find the perfect balance.
