Think it's been excellent. Nice to have one that's not been dominated by reports of drunken fights between fans and it looks like there are loads more families at the games. The atmosphere when the Asian, Middle Eastern and African sides have been playing has been amazing as well.

Thought Morocco were outstanding yesterday and have been throughout the tournament. That was an amusing incident when the two Morocco players collided but one caught the other quite hard with his leg. Their teamwork and will not to be defeated was outstanding though and they had by far the best chances to win the game in normal time. Not seen Hakimi play before but he has been outstanding, as has Amrabat.

Bit concerned that the Newcastle players are not really getting a chance to shine. Particularly concerning that Trippier has played himself out of the England team with his performance against USA and suspect we won't see him again now. I hope it doesn't destroy his confidence. Schar also had a nightmare last night.

Schar did indeed have a shocker.. but his team conceded three times as many goals after he went off.. his team, and especially that keeper of theirs was terrible.
Good for Ronaldo mind - he's worth it :1980_boogie_down:

I think the plan was pretty much always for Trippier to get us through the group while Walker gets back up to speed. As much as I love him come Saturday I'd rather have Walker up against M'bappe

Have a hastily arranged trip to Netherlands this weekend, so likely to be high as a kite whilst watching England. Should be interesting.

Tonight’s matches are going to be interesting. Think Croatia will try and bore Brazil all the way to penalties. It will be a better test of whether Brazil can turn it on against a team who are willing to sit back and defend.
Argentina - Netherlands will also be good. Think Netherlands could do them.

**** Brazil and their shot manager who hates Bruno. He’s getting sacked in the morning and Bruno is coming home.

    happy days.

IMO Brazil got what they deserved. I'm annoyed with them that they didn't give Bruno a chance to help them against Croatia. He was great in his sub appearance last week.
But surprised that Neymar didn't take a pen.
