Great film, I've got over my dislike for 2 and it works pretty well as one film but the 2nd is a let down.

Well, the Mrs upstairs waiting for a sorting and that, but might just have to pour a little whisky and watch the end of this classic.

    Yeh ok Honey Boy.

The English Patient is a perfect film. Perfect screenplay, perfect script, superb performances, incredible, sublime cinematography and about as perfect a music score for a film as you will find. 9 Oscars to boot. It's a masterpiece.

Whilst the English Patient is a really good film, a solid 8/8.5 there are few films that can be classed as a 10. It's not one of them.

    Sorry but thems the facts.

Oh and BTW. If you're using Oscars as a yardstick for what makes a film a 10 just remember Titanic recieved 11 Oscars.

    Just saying like.

Yes it can be classed as a 10, and it just was, by me.

    You disagree, I get it.

I know you think you have some greater knowledge on movies but your opinion is no more important than Munse's and he thinks Titanic is a true story.

Also I didn't just go by the oscars did I? And neither did you unless you think Titanic is an 8.5 as well. Clearly they're completely different films and what they won them for were for different reasons.

Not easy to explain and do it justice tbh. It's German so subtitles. Starts off with a missing child. This following another child who went missing 33 years ago. There's a cave, tunnel system, a power plant and as the story goes on you find the main characters are all connected, both in the present and in the past.

That's without giving too much away. But the characters are brilliant. You have to pay attention to keep up.

I don't do multiple seasons, so it's been good enough to warrant the effort tbh.

    It's very good.

I've not seen Wistig. Is it part of the Walter Presents series? What's it about.

Of course you can say it's a 10.

    But you're wrong.

As for Oscars. It was you that used it's Oscars take to justify your wrongness. I just pointed out that Oscar wins are no true reflection of quality film.

    Hope this helps.
