If you are talking to me, I can assure you that my mum was a Mrs.

 

I can also say the same Frenchie. I also say that my mum has no detective skills what so ever.

 

I've just seen the horrific pictures of the M5 crash. My thoughts are with all those involved, the families, the injured and those that witnessed such a horrible event. I hope everyone on the road tonight takes extra care.

I think everyone going should take poppies with them either real, or printed or the paper ones and throw them all on the pitch in protest!!

There is an article on the beeb about non-EU nationals going into the UK with passports unchecked. This really gets me as every time I come over I sit or stand for ages to be allowed in. I can move around Europe freely without need of a passport, yet come to my home country and I am treated as undesirable. It is about time the borders agency got their act together and looked into non EU passport holders and laid off us who have them. Frequently I come back here without checks, yet I am not French. Why does my passport need to be scanned both in and out. Are they afraid that the country will sink into the sea if too many get to stand on it?

 

OFH - It's getting close to sinking in the South East...

Maybe in their eyes you are undesirable Frenchie at the end of the day they are there to do a job ! probably at times a very tedious one , maybe coz you look so friendly they pull you over for a chat

 

Certainly at the airports when I fly in I might well look dodgy. I had the misfortune to fly into Luton on one trip, and couldn't see a face similar in colour to mine checking passports. Then I suppose that they had not be foretunate enough to spend their days outside in the sun.

 

Yes I can see how flying into the muslim republic of lootown could present problems!

 

No OFH, we are on enforced diets as we can longer afford to eat!

 

They say that you can go for quite long periods without food, but it is essential to keep drinking.

Well that is what I heard and I am sticking to it.

 

You can apparently survive for about 5 days with out food before your body starts to shut down, but you can only go 2 days with out water of some kind.
