    Match Preview;
So, almost one month exactly since our last competitive game, and what a lot has happened. The great proclamation of loyalty, integrity and commitment turned out to be a two faced lie. It was said to look good, and win favour with the fans. Instead, it will be held over our former manager forever more as a mark of his lack of loyalty, lack of integrity and lack of commitment. It wasn't about loyalty, integrity and commitment...it was about waiting for the 'right' job and then jump ship asap.

So, a new look QPR will take to the field on Sunday, with no permanent manager, no Ilias Chair as he is still at the World Cup but surely Seny Dieng will be back and available after watching all four of Senegal's World Cup games from the bench. Ilias Chair has also been an unused sub in all four of Morocco's game, but is still in Qatar, at least until Saturday when Morocco play Portugal. Otherwise, the manager leaving will have disrupted things, but hopefully it has still been a useful mid-season break for the players to get some rest + get in some valuable time on the training pitch.

As for our visitors, Burnley...they are the current league leaders, on 41 points, so 3 points clear of 2nd place Sheffield United. They are clearly aiming for an immediate return to the top flight after relegation last season, and have the firepower to get there, leading the 'goals scored' stat with 40 goals so far this season. Their top scorer is Jay Rodríguez with 9 goals, followed by Zaroury and Tella who both have 6, then Brownhill with 5. Our joint top scorers are Willock and Dykes on 6 each. Vincent Kompany, their manager, seems to be doing a good job having taken over in June.

    Paul Hall - Taking charge
"It's obviously been a challenging period for the football club, but the players have responded really well - showing resilience and fantastic attitude.

"Now, we're looking forward to the game on Sunday.

"To be trusted with the job is a really proud moment for me. I think I've kept the standards high.

"I've been supported in my role to deliver a successful programme and I've been able to get the boys ready and focused.

"Everybody was disappointed that such a talented coach in Mick [Beale] has gone, but the players gave put themselves in sixth position currently and they're the ones who can take us forward now.

"Now, it's about moving forward and we have a great chance to do well. The challenge now is to be even better than we have been.

"The players need to look to the future and use their position to fuel them to even better things."

    Burnley
"Burnley are at the top of the league and what better way to return than this fixture?

"They're there to be shot at and we're at home, with something to prove.

"We want to get after them."

    Team news
"I don't want to give too much away! But certain players are a lot closer to full fitness than they were before the break.

"It was an opportunity to reset ourselves, our programmes, and get some players back. It was a good time to break.

"Ilias Chair is the only only player we know we'll be without [owing to his World Cup commitments with We're really proud of his achievements.

"Seny Dieng is back and he trained well today (Friday). He's available for selection.

"We've got a good bill of health at the football club."

...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!! Plus as an added extra...COME ON LEVERKUSEN!!!

Real live football in December! Yay!

Downside, kick off times means most pubs won’t be open early enough for pre match beverage. Unless they have stayed open to continue the celebrations after the massive English destruction of France the evening before.

    Cheers Dave.

If Engjand and the hoops both win, I'll have to double my meds ! Could be a glorious weekend or a very depressing one. Doesn't look like we're gonna have a new manager in place before kick off, so hoping Hall and the boys can pull off a shock. Hope as many as possible are fit. Come on you 3 Lions and you Supahoopsa !!!

This is what we've been missing. I'm talking about straight shooting.
More shots ON goal means more likely a goal.
This appears to be a dying art. Or maybe I'm just watching too many QPR games.

    How about.

    "Hey Mickey,

You've been around some months, and that's not very long.
You said you're gonna stay, but now you're on ya bong.
You didn't say goodbye, or did I get that wrong, Mickey?

'Cause when you said you'd stay, it really meant you won't.
You givin' us the finger, cause you're givin' up the goat.
You really are a dick, so we'll ram it down your throat, Mickey!

"Oh Mickey, such a pity, twat just understand.
You left us in the lurch, now you'll cop it from the stands!
Oh Mickey, you're so ****ty, this is from the fans,
    It's dicks like you, Mickey,
'cause when you do what you did, Mickey,
    Won't break our team, Mickey!

    It's, twats, like, you, Mickeeey."

Really, really big apology to the great Toni Basil. At 78 and still going strong. Luv ya Antonia.:emoticon-0115-inlov

Thanks Yorkshire, but I doubt any of them will be able to remember the words.
Still, it's the thought that counts, eh?
