There's got to be a better way still. Absolute horse sh*t way to end a game.

Terrible penalties. None of the Japan players put their foot through the ball!

Can’t argue with that, Croatia deserve to go through. And their goalie is a hero

Maya actually took one of the better penalties for Japan, and he didn't take a particularly good penalty.

Is there though? They tried Golden Goal and Silver Goal in ET and they got dismissed pretty quickly. I don't think there is another way.

Every FM player from recent years knew Livakovic would win it for them.

Yes. As I said above, reduce the number of players gradually. That would be better.

Shame that England have to play France in the next round as I think both teams deserve to meet in the final. Hugely impressed with England and I am not seeing anyone other than the French who have been quite so good.

Let's see how Brazil do tonight. But not many better than France unfortunately.

Meh, they have Mbappe but other than that they have a 36 year CF, a keeper prone to making errors and plenty of injuries.

That 36 year old has 3 goals in three games and was unlucky his bicycle kick was ruled out. Age means nothing. There is plenty of talent in that time and they are the current holders for a reason.

And how many times have the holders defended their trophy? That doesn't mean a huge amount. France are missing a lot of their first team. Don't get me wrong they are still a very good team but I actually think England, man for man, will have the better team on the pitch on Saturday. It's just Mbappe who frightens the life out of me!

If we’re going to win the tournament, we’ll have to beat the best at some point.*
