That will almost certainly happen. The bigger question is whether Sterling will also come back in for Rashford. I can see that happening and the country going into meltdown.
Saka or Foden is more of a difficult decision than Rashford or Sterling. Rashford has had a huge boost of confidence and is in good form for both club and country. Sterling’s done nowt for Chelsea this season. I’d like to see Foden as a number 10 instead of Mount but Southgate’s been pretty clear of what he thinks of that.
I agree, rashford is a no-brainer for me, but Southgate has his favourites unfortunately..... Hopefully he can see past that and go with the best / most on form line up
Rashford didn't start the first two games and was rotated in when we were already effectively through. This is the point where Southgate will have to pick 2 of the 4 wingers who've all done well. I'd like to see Rashford and Saka, but I think there's a good chance it'll be Sterling and Saka, and we're already seeing in the posts above this one what the reaction to that will be.
Why do you always have to be so smug and snide about it though? There’s very good reasons for Rashford to start ahead of Sterling tonight and people saying so isn’t as outrageous as you’re making it out to be. It’s a football discussion ffs. If people didn’t debate or question selections and tactics, it would be endless off-topic drivel and puns.
Anyone who can't see the reasons for rashford starting is either a little dimm or just arguing for arguments sake..... Tbf he does say he'd like to see rashford start, I'm just not sure what he's trying to say with his last comment
You have a fair point there, I accept I am a bit condescending about it. I suppose it's just that I have such little respect for that way of thinking. Deliberately ignoring the pattern to pretend to think that a certain selection is going to happen, in order to be more outraged about it when it doesn't. Whether it's McCann and his 4-3-3, Southgate leaving out whoever the current clamour is for, or City managers picking Coyle and Elder, it just seems to be a constant thing with modern football that there's always a crowd demanding some specific tactical change, which is out of step with what the experts think and do, and then an outrage when it doesn't happen. I find it tiresome that people time and time again are so easily turned against a manager because of this stuff. Southgate gets the worst of it, he's done an absolutely brilliant job for England and yet he can never escape this constant criticism. He's been proven right over and over and yet people keep ignoring it. It definitely makes it harder for us to succeed and it just seems almost infantile to me. The idea that Southgate picks players based on anything other than who he thinks will have the best chance of winning the game is obviously complete nonsense, but somehow it's a popular view.
Saka or Grealish in for Henderson. They don't have a great deal up top and their main man in midfield is suspended. Defence is their strongest area so let's get at them.
From wiki “Senegal is notably the westernmost country in the mainland of the Old World, or Afro-Eurasia.[12] It owes its name to the Senegal River, which borders it to the east and north.” FACT now how many beds they got?
