Can't really pick on these two fixtures, naturally France and England would be the one's expected to progress, but I wouldn't under estimate either Poland or Senegal. If I'm remembering correctly Senegal are the African Nations Cup winners, I'm sure they also won another trophy, that ahead of Egypt and the Cameroons, not forgetting Ghana, all countries that in the past would have been ranked above Senegal. Can see an upset if Southgate don't deal with the threat positively.
Poland look very average at best ... be huge upset for me if they can do this unquestionably talented in depth French squad ... but this world cup has had so many big upsets ... Think we are in for a very tough game ... but we should have enough if we are on our game ...
Yeah the Poles look gash to be honest, one of the most fortunate sides to have qualified from their group. **** all about them bar Chesney and Lewandowski and the latter barely gets the ball. We should be beating Senegal without much excuses, especially as they don’t have Mane. They’ll be more athletic and physical than us but we’ve got far more technical quality that should shine through, will just be down to how much Gary wants to hold us back. Also, Gabriel Jesus reportedly out for at least three months, would say a huge blow for Brazil but he’s failed to score at two World Cups now.
See Piers Morgan has taken umbrage at the BBC pundits praise of Messi yesterday - presumably because of his relationship with Ronaldo ... making himself look a but of a dick IMO... In this World Cup Messi has had a huge impact and influence and his individual performance yesterday was, for me, the best from an individual so far ... yes the opposition wasn't top drawer ... but his vision, technique, dribbling and weight of pass were sublime and anybody who has played the game will understand that ... ... and he was walking for the majority of it
He's possibly going back to Leeds if you believe the Press speculation ... although it's probably best not to ... most is just that, pure speculation ...
We moved him on pretty quickly when we came back up ... he wasn't going to get in the side before Ulloa and Vardy, then we also brought in Kramaric ...
Cracking first half so far ... by far Poles best display ... Wow ... how did that no go in for the Poles
Mbappe is superb ... love watching him ... unreal pace and balance ... and skill ... one of the few that lives up to hype ...
