We are officially a disgrace this season. I'd forgotten we were even playing this evening. Come on lads if you're still trying. Give us a win over the mighty Robins to cheer us up and spoil Elf's bet
I have never seen it so empty with fifteen minutes to go to kick off. The amount of people who are boycotting has reached epidemic proportions. Thanks Thomas.
Anyone still going (even to the Valley now, never mind away) deserves a medal in my view. In theory years of wandering in the lower league wilderness is still better than not having a Club at all. But in reality the depressing decline never gets any less painful. I guess Bury fans may feel differently.
we're f**king sh*t, we're f**king sh*t... Not fit to wear the shirt. Unless the team wins its next game we will be in a worse position than last season after the same number of games played. And last season was our poorest in almost 100 years. The players are crap The manager is a dud The owner's clueless The landlord is a c*nt. And its the fans who suffer of course - because we're the only ones who actually care.
I enjoyed last night.........It was a really good quiz at the local rugby club. I wouldn't say I'm boycotting, just a slight shift in priorities. I won't be able to make the Brighton game either, but can't wait for next week's U-18's Youth Cup game.
A few thoughts. The new lads who started for us (Mitchell and Ness) looked like another great couple of prospects. We had a young injury hit team and for a large part of the second half we had them absolutely pinned in their own half. But their keeper never had a serious save to make - the Kirk goal that was scrubbed off (I genuinely think it was a goal, and would have changed the game) he never got a glove on. I've seen a few people moaning about the line up at the start, although I don't know how much of that team was down to injuries. But some promising youngsters are getting a run out which is good, and that is a positive. And that's as much as I can find positive. Possibley when we had them pinned back, had Aneke been on, one of those crosses/corners might have been converted, but that's just wishful thinking. Their 1-0 win flattered them by the overall match, but they were the ones who scored, and I believe they had more shots on target. The bit of the first half I saw we were turgid, unimaginative and flat. And after they scored we were back at it again. I was looking forward to that as my world cup is reduced to following text updates, so it was a real weekend killer to see us lose again, and extend our run of winless matches. We badly need some of the injured ones back, but we also need a confidence injection,
The goal was definitely offside. I was right in line. Kirk was lazy and could easily have kept himself onside. I Will not be going to the Valley until Sandgaard leaves. Totally sick and tired of watching the crap that is being served up. I have got a Season ticket to Welling and will be watching them for the rest of the Season.
I'm not going to blame any Charlton fan for staying away at the moment. I don't think I'll be going back to the Valley until Roland isn't the landlord anymore. I couldn't go anyway right now. I just put in almost a full week at work, and now I'm paying for it. My Sciatica is almost as bad again as when I first felt it nearly three weeks ago. I'll have to rest more from now on, regardless of the consequences down the line.
