1) because he'd been asking for one all game. Case of the boy who cried wooof! 2) Suarez the well known cheating piece of **** jumped off the bench so the ref and 4th official thought he was up to his old tricks. Karma sucks.
Only when the occasion called for it. He was a tactical diver. Knew when to use his strength to carry on, or when to dive. I almost admired him for it
He likes a bit of a cry. That one season he was the best player in the world imo. Bit of a **** though.
I googled and there's a few. One at At Mad, and then Livpl of course. This is his last tournament. He should've gone out in style. Run onto the pitch and bit everyone like a little pitbull.
Yeah he's done now, great seeing him live you simply have no idea what he'll do, the movement off the ball and understanding is also great to watch. Different player but Alonso was similar in that he's aware of things that fans can't see so it's sometimes a shock when he makes a pass as you wonder what he's doing for a moment.
Alonso was a class act. Love midfielders like him. I thought Mascherano and him were the perfect partnership. And him and Kroos. Alonso was silk.
Don't get me wrong I hated him. But he was clever. He didn't always dive at every touch. He was a strong fcker and knew when to use his strength to his advantage. Which made it extra funny when he went down like a poove when he thought the advantage was to dive. And both worked. Anyway he was the best striker in the world around 2007. Great player and a decent bloke outside the game.
give over he just used to run back into oppo players and lob himself to the ground and refs always gave a free kick . The best one was when the defender moved to the side and he ended up on his arse with absolutely no contact
Nah that's not just what he was about. He had incredible strength, and he knew when to use it and outmuscle players and win those 50/50's to score goals or get a killer pass off. But he also knew when to go over like a sack of spuds and win the f/k or pen. He was an intelligent player in every sense.
