Itv have already written off The Gills -- the chap commentating on the Uruaguay v Portugal game said that Dagenham & Redbridge will be entertaining Leicester ! ...... well - let's face it - Gills can't even entertain its' own fans !
I think I read somewhere it's going to be BBC 3 and the other game on the same day will be BBC 4 - didn't know those channels showed football.
Greedy, Greedy, Greedy. Greedy...... did I mention - GREEDY ? The Club ( Scally ), has confirmed the price of tickets for the Dagenham replay - you know, the game that is FREE to view on BBC3 and iplayer. ... If you're stupid enough, an adult can pay £20. .... I would have guessed at a tenner - but DOUBLE that is utterly ridiculous... What planet does Scally live on ? The decision to charge any more than $20, for a game that you can watch for a FREE - without leaving the comfort of your home, is madness - NO, I stand corrected - it's utter GREED............. and I don't mean just a millimetre overhanging the line where normal greed turns into obscenely Greedy. edit I realise that I used the 'dollar' symbol - it was a mistake - but - as we'll all soon be owned by a Yank, I haven't corrected it.
and there are a number of seats unavailable to STH - because of camera placement - with surrounding seats with restricted view ! - all that for just £20 ..... or FREE from my armchair - where I won't have to do a 100 mile journey to watch a restricted view of some excrement........ actually, to have a restricted view of the normal excrement on offer might be a treat !
Not to mention we play tomorrow at home and then again at home next Sunday. Who in the right mind go to 3 home games in a week to see a toothless Gills. £20 is ridiculous.
And anyone paying £20 for the replay hasn't been promised priority for a Leicester ticket..... That might have made a little sense of the price - but just like everything else regarding marketing, Scally is clueless.
I'm assuming the price is set by the FA...but I take your point and it's right, anyone paying to go to the game, should get an automatic ticket for Leicester, also a way to boost attendance, maybe a trick missed. Although then the argument would be, someone who can't make it, but made it to previous games should also be entitled to a ticket....this is a dilemma that should be sorted with hindsight at the beginning of every season but never is oddly.
Due to Gills inability to score a league goal, the next blue moon will now not be seen in your lifetime.
