seriously, who really cares about this thread? i know i don't. its only a silly little dig for goodness sake. why must people take it so seriously? darren bent has made a living out of scoring two-yard tap ins and he's added another two today. fair play - right place, right time hi warky, six goals conceded isn't great but we have netted five times so it shows we can score goals at this level too. a silly mistake cost us today but we still sit comfortably in mid table, 7 points from the dreaded drop zone. i'd much rather be in our position right now than you boys down in deepest darkest suffolk... you have REAL issues to deal with right now. ps. fair play to the ipswich fans who applauded billy sharp when he scored today. very gracious and i'm sure it meant a lot to him. i was doing exactly the same thing when i heard he scored today...
You are right in what you say but it is just one of many. How many times do I need to say it - not everyone wants to come on the Norwich board and read rubbish created by Ipswich fans. The same can be said of Ipswich fans do not want their board with rubbish posts from Norwich fans. Why is that so hard to understand and respect?
understand that thai but just don't read it! we give them a bit of grief and they give us some. quite why THEY feel the need today of all days when they have lost to the team at the foot of the table simply shows what a numpty they are
As a mod I also need to respond to this. It is my job to read all posts to enable me to moderate.....I have no choice. You will note I do not visit the Town board to take the piss, although the urge is there after games like today. I do not post it because I am trying to set a standard to please OUR fans. I also know based on the feedback I get not everyone wants to see it this rubbish either
Hey Supers you know by now that I post on your board quite regularly despite what my shower of ****e contrive to embarass me with! This thread is in no way offensive and should be just taken at face value.
In fairness if Cody McDonald had scored 2 against Ipswich, we'd of done the same, it's a weak attempt at banter, but enjoy the banter whilst it's there.
6 months ago I would of probably ended up in JWM's keepnet after reading this. However, things have changed so much in that time for me and the mighty yellows that I just laugh at the sheer cheek of the article. Its such a shame that 1p5wich are still as **** as they were, if not worse!! I genuinely feel sorry for certain Town fans (Hampy not included) as they don't deserve to be served up that kind of football, especially with their history.
Its just a shame for you that you didn't have a referee this week that allowed you to get a dodgy draw!
Superman and DM - there's an awful lot gone on behind the scenes that most of you know nothing about! I am not going to allow Thai to be undermined in this way without a protest! Thai has been working by my side for some time now, and I am proud and grateful to be associated with him! Come on Dave! Isn't this a bit over dramatic. A simple thread which meant absolutely no harm or offence to anyone. We can't let these things get blown out of all proportion. Many Townies me included respect you and Thai a great deal and although I dont know whats gone in the background this is just a meaningless post to make such a dramatic issue out of. We are fierce local rivals and I think that the banter is always good natured between us and doesn't plummet to the obscene depths that other football rivalries do. I appeal to you both to just carry on and get on with it!
JWM Yes, in the great scheme of things this post is mostly harmless but have you just ignored all I have tried to say above? Such posts are the thin end of the wedge. Myself and Dave are here to create a pleasant atmosphere for Norwich fans but when twats from other boards come along with just one aim, it undermines all we strive to achieve. Why should we put up with that? Why do some people only get their kicks from pissing other people off? The long and the short of it is - I am resigning my position as moderator. The message we have tried to send across is clearly not getting through and what is most disappointing is it is also some of our own fans that are not behind us in what we are trying to do here. If our fans cannot support us then there is no point in us being here, might as well just let you all get on with it and turn the two boards in to a farce. Good luck guys
Was at the game he looked handy great positioning for a forward, just to put my two pence in good old fashioned ground but the area is an absolute ****ehole it makes Birkenhead look the French Rivieria.
Banter is what keeps these boards alive. Dull as anything when the opposition don't join in (see Blackburn and Villa past week). I don't begrudge our refuse collecting friends a dig or two now and then. They've not had much to shout about lately (read 30 yrs). As long as it's kept friendly i've no issue. Here ends my 10 cents worth.
Hairy, this is where the problem is - define banter, then define a wum post. Different people see the line in a different place. Dave and myself try to identify where that line is on behalf of ALL our fans, not just the most vocal or most frequent posters. To me, and many quite readers who do not post on here much, this is a wum post and we as moderators on the Norwich board have no control of it when it is created on another board. Your response simply backs up what I said above. Without your support then I am surplus to requirements.
That is just the sort of response that makes me think, "serve you right if you get Whole-lot-of-Holt as a mod"
