I think we'll get 7th at best. 1 - City 2 - Man U 3 - Spurs 4 - Chelsea 5 - Arsenal 6 - L'pool 7 - Newcastle I'd take that right now.
Looks pretty accurate tbh, If we get a cup that wouldn't be a bad season but we all want 4th so bad, hence why these results are so damn frustrating.
If we get results at city/manure then beat Chelsea at home, have we been tested yet? The whole of the PL is a test to every team, Norwich, nearly beat Manure, Swansea holding established PL teams to a draw when they're expected wins. Point being we're playing well, we're getting the results from the teams around us (and arsenal (but we beat them away last season too)/spurs) and keeping our defensive record in the positives. If we go to city and they score 1/2 past us I'll see that as a good result since they put 6 past Manure. If we get a draw then better still and it is potentially possible we do get a draw (we have good form there). Against Manure we've always been poor but you never know. Chelsea travel well to us but they're easily exposed at the back and with our pace and a high/slow defense (JT/Boswinga/Luis(poor mans' colo)) then we can exploit that massively. Potentially we're playing the best football we have in the last 10 years, and the team is working together as a team no 35mil prima-donas or fights amongst team mates. Yes we'll not finish 4th, but the way your playing atm you won't either, you have some tough games coming up, and are lacking a true leader on the pitch with two influential players out and a misfiring target man.
I'll gladly take Spurs in 3rd or 4th. If we're all in agreement, can we just tell the Premier League and skip the rest of the season, then?
Understandable but I think Spuds will ruin that for you. I think Chelski messing it up a little bit more is your only hope. Unless we can get to January still in third then I'm renewing my passport!
Why? 3 teams that are in The CL against a team tipped for relegation. Even if we 0 points its exactly what I'd expect most teams to pick up against them. The biggest test will be how we bounce back against the run of 4 games that include Norwich Swansea WBA and Bolton
Obviously some of you haven't seen colo play and are basing your opinions on tabloid red-tops. No Newcastle fan thinks we'll finish in the top 4, or top 6 even (but we can dream). A top ten finish would be great. As has been said, you need to start worrying about yourselves rather than us. It shows what a state you're in that you're even talking about us.
Your point is valid simply because Omar Little is your avatar!! I think you will find many of us know we are putting ourselves in the **** and it is frustration and a bit of jealousy probably that some are arguing.
