An 83year old lady asks politely about someone's lineage and gets slaughtered. Ffs what is happening to this country. In my lifetime I've been asked where I get my colouring from, ginger and freckles (stop it Rod). It's always 'I presume 'you have a Celtic background'. I never felt once abused or hurt, I'm proud to have had a Welsh grandfather with red hair. It's about time a few grew a pair. Ps Rod, it's OK my freckles have gone and my hair is now white.

spot on .. being evasive encourages all sorts of reactions ... especially after 60 years of handling the same situations/ meetings/gatherings. We are constantly being swamped now [ by often quite pitiful adverts ] by g class actors doing adverts in make believe scenario's that pretty much do not exist in reality. I am so grateful for being able to record programmes sometimes for just 15 -20 minutes before watching them, then whizzing past the adverts often in a 1 hour programme there is only 40 / 45 mins content. In 2 hours you can usually watch 3 episodes of 1 hour duration ....... oh how I miss the meerkats!!!!

Well doing a clear out found my records of the snowfall from 1976 to 2001 They represent a registered fall of snow as being on Mendip [ Priddy to Keynsham / Stockwood / Whitchurch 24 hour period ] Top 10 years [ of 25 ] were 1978/79 = 30 .. 1985/86 = 23 1977/78 & 1995/96 = 22 1991/2 = 20 1984/85 = 18 1986/87 = 16 1981/2 = 15 1993/4 - 14 1980/81 = 13 1996/97 = 12 1982/3 - 1983/84 was 8 & 5 1987/88 .. 88/89 .. 89/90 was 5 & 4 & 1 1991/92 .. 92/93 .. was 2 & 4 1994/5 = 8 1997/98 .. 98/99 .. 99/00 was 6 & 4 & 5 In the past 22 years I doubt we have had more than 40 days? HOW CLOUDY ARE WE EVERY YEAR? Well we had generally between years 1988 and 2000 62% cloud, how its measured I dont actually know but it was something recorded as well as an aside ..........think I was going to record cloud cover as the start of Global warming had started to kick of .. but stopped doing records as got made redundant and went self employed ........
