I'd have liked Wales to have gone through with us, but once USA went one up against Iran, it was clear it wasn't to be for them. I think if England had put in a decent performance in the previous game, we could have been more relaxed rather than demolishing them like we did.
Bit of a strange one this. Gary Speed started this Welsh improvement/evolution and the message coming out in the interviews post match was pushing this development on. Would have loved to have seen Speed manage wales at a WC as he was an Everton legend(leeds/Newcastle/Bolton too) but wouldn’t have wanted them to qualify out of our group.

I always want any of Wales, Scotland, Rep Ireland to go through, obviously not at Englands expense. I know they might laugh at us, but we are generally the better team, with the exception of when Rep Ireland were doing well under Jack Charlton.
