He is good with the ball at his feet, got a nice left foot, just not as good as Colo's right foot.

I would agree with you on this point. However Colo is still the better defender right now as he does it consistently, every minute of every game of every week. If he is in and around an attacking threat you know he will thwart it and calmly clear it from danger. Not to mention his role as captain has obviously had a huge impact on the team.

He is a better CB then Agger.

Next 3 games will be a good indication of your season.

I'm not trying to pick sides here, but that's been said about Newcastle quite a few times already.
The next game will be very hard, but it'd be very hard for anyone.
What does it mean if they lose?

<laugh> So when we inevitably lose to City and United away, which 17 other teams will probably do this season, that's it we're as **** as you all thought. It's about what you do against the teams you should be beating, like Swansea and Nowrich at home.

Agreed, but about 99% of us are expecting to get maximum 1 point from those games so if that ends up being the case, nothing will have changed from our perspective. So anything other than what is expected will be good indications.

In fairness that isn't what he said. I agree that it will be a good indication because if somehow we get a win or two it could be a hell of an indication!

Geez-us this is going round and round, we are not taking care of our business and Newcastle are, we have spent loads of money and they are donkeys and Newcastle got frees who are lighting it up. We have no room to talk and this just reminds me of 09 when we said ya United will drop this and will do that and they ****ing didn't. We are not good enough at the moment and it is Newcastle, Arsenal, and more importantly SPURS who we should be worried about.

If we don't start getting maximum points we will not get top 4, simple as.

You took my post the wrong way. I was saying that if you could actually pick up points from the next 3 games you may have a very good season. No good thinking City will turn you over, have some belief!

Stop being so negative not everyone is a wum.

Its more to do with the reaction to their first league defeat. Remember how Arsenal reacted after losing the CC final?

  11. That's ****ing stupid.

So our season should be decided on our games against the top 3?

I'd say it's more based on how many teams we beat outside the top 4-6.

We don't think we're as good as Liverpool, ability wise, but as a team we've been better than you so far. You've failed to beat teams you really should be beating at home.

We've taken points from where we should be and also bonus points against the likes of Spurs and Stoke away.

Most Newcastle fans think we should be pushing for 7th place this season and there's nothing wrong with it. Outside the top 6 there is no team better than us <ok>

Okay thanks, well even if we got points that wouldn't change my expectation that we at least finish top 10.

    That's a fair point, I guess.
They have three tough games, so they could get their confidence damaged a little if they were to get three bad results.
It's down to Pardew to get them into the right frame of mind though and he's done a very good job of it, so far.

Anyway **** Newcastle we need to worry about ourselves. We've got Chelsea and City as our next games <yikes>

We can't score for **** and needed a win today to go into those games with confidence.

I'm about as confident as a steak and ale pie sitting next to Mike Ashley....

    Then Fulham away...

    Hmm...

  17. If we lose confidence so much confidence by losing to the top 2 teams then we should just ****ing get relegated right now. But it doesn't matter, because i value our team spirit more than that.

If we go the season only losing in our toughest fixtures then our team spirit will be as high as ever and we'll all be happy and most likely having a cheeky **** in process.

I think it will be a tough test for Liverpool to finish 4th, however we (Newcastle) won't. We have had a good run and long may that continue (even against City) but a top 10 finish would still do me. 7th and I'd be over the moon, but lets not get carried away just yet.

You've then got to face Chelsea, though and they're still a top side.
I'm not saying that you'll lose all three, but it's possible, just as it would be possible for pretty much every other side in the division.
You've then got an away game and then the fixtures start to pile up.

Tiote and Ba may miss some of the December games too, due to the African Cup of Nations preparation.
