Who said "defenders", Coloccini is the only quality defender in our back four, the rest are solid enough and compliment his reading of the game and technichal ability on the ball nicely with there no nonsense approach.

You conceded in each of those games, but I think you guys are normally solid in the back. I think this all started when we questioned the defense today as it was very counter attacking and goals were meant to be had.

    You think they're tests? No...

If you faced Arsenal and Spurs now, possibly... but at the beginning of the season they were losing 8-2 and 5-1 respectively. Even suggesting Stoke's strengths lie in their attack is idiotic <laugh>.

This whole 'not tested yet' thing is stupid really. Our list of matches that will 'test' us has been pushed further and further into the season and now we've reached the point where people are saying our test will be against the Manchesters and Chelsea - to say that only the best 3 teams in the country are our real tests is a pretty massive compliment considering most of us were hoping for a top 8 finish at best near the start of the season.

With regards to injuries, we're already without Tiote and Obertan and today we lost Cabaye early on in the match and Marveaux a bit later on - we still pulled through alright. I don't see us 'struggling' as you say but nor do I see us finishing in the top 4. For the record I certainly don't see Liverpool finishing in the top 4 either based on current form.

Also where have I called Agger average? I think he's a good defender, but don't think he can read the game better than Colo and he definately isn't as good as Colo with the ball at his feet either.

We dropped points so far against Sunderland,Stoke,Norwich,Swansea,United,Tottenham...... Newcastle have got points or would get points off of those (can't remember who exactly you guys played). So let's be honest here, We have not done our business and I am fuming, not at Newcastle for thier start, but at us, we are putting ourselves in the hole to dig out of. It is just so ****ing frustrating.

For the record I can't see you finishing in the top 6.

    Your point?

What are you even trying to argue, that Newcastle are going to finish in the top 4 or that they'll you'll finish higher than us at the end of the season? Perhaps your dad is bigger than my dad aswell. Anything else?

I am seriously enjoying watching liverpool fans getting defensive about their position at this stage compared to ours after their attitudes pre-season. Even if we slip down the league it will not take away how great is tastes atm. On form I would have Ba over Carroll and If we still had Enrique we would only be 4 pts ahead of you instead of 6. For this i have to thank Liverpool FC.

I still think you look JUST like us a few seasons before we fell apart.......

As a Spurs fan, I'd just like to point out that Newcastle faced us when we were virtually at full strength and on a good run.
I felt that most of our midfield was a bit jaded from the international games, but they were well worthy of the result.
A good, solid, hard working team with a fair amount of quality, too.

Pardew's done very well, bought wisely and motivates his players brilliantly.
Tiote and Ba's absence in January will be a test, as will the transfer window, but there are promising signs in Newcastle's squad.
Ben Arfa, Santon and Marveaux have barely featured, for example.

Top 6 may be slightly beyond the team this season, in my opinion, but who knows?
They're playing with real belief at the moment.

Don't understand why the guys trying to make out that I'm saying Newcastle will finish higher than Liverpool when all I've said is Coloccini is a much better defender than Agger which is stating the obvious really..

No offence, but your opinions are so awful and wrong. You've obviously never watched Agger more than one game or something. He's one of the best defenders with the ball at his feet in the premiership, and his reading of the game is second to none. Their probably two of his strongest traits, somehow you've managed to portray them his weakest ones.

    Lots of talk, no bottle.
