I think the only way for Derby is downward to mid-table obscurity. Good win for us today, can we keep this up. A third of the way through the season now.
Yep, just as Chaplow was last Saturday. People can call for De Ridder to start as much as they like. But the simple fact is, I don't see anyone to drop.
I hope West Ham are on our heels for the rest of the season, don't need the players relaxing with a big point margin!
Now let's hope Middlesbrough has another one of those games where they can't find the net...we could finish the day eight or nine points clear of third
Same here. I had to go off and talk on the phone, but I could hear the score going to 2-2. While I was talking, I was thinking, come on, Saints, just quieten that that team down and then turn the screw a bit. And they did. Like I said earlier, this team doesn't give up. If they draw or lose, the other team had to have a great day to match them. The thing is, there's enough evidence there for anybody to see that this shouldn't be a surprise anymore, but it's always a delight.
Panic during the game is why I never post during a match - you end up sounding like a whining c*ck otherwise.
I can understand it - it's a natural reaction to vent anger/frustration. But I don't like to read it and keep the anger to myself, holding belief at the same time that we have the quality to respond these days.
Its the slaters I don't get. Oh, he's crap, never does anything, don't know why he's still on..... (then he scores) Oh, I thought he'd score today, yeah he's really good. Now thats embarrassing.
Mea culpa. Hard habit to break though, even if this is the 'new' Saints and not the 'old' Saints. Time for a another beer, I think.
With Lallana's goal, we now have four players with five or more goals in the league: Lambert (9), Guly (6), Connolly and Lallana (5). Best I can tell, no other team has more than two to hit that mark.
Yes, I can understand. I won't do it though. The worst you would have seen me post today would have been something like... Oh dear 2-2, come on Saints..! I don't get them either. Having an opinion is one thing. Ramming it down people's throats with a total overreaction, is another. They could take a leaf out of Nigel Adkins book, which is to not get too ecstatic when things go well, and not to get too low when things go downhill. It's good advice.
