Jewi clearly changed the game when he came on.

    Pressure on Germany now

There's a lot of 'after the lord mayor's show' going on in this world cup isn't there? Big wins followed by poor results. It'll be interesting to see Spain Germany later on.

What does it say about the mentality of modern footballers.

Happy for him , he looked devastated when subbed in the last game, used correctly today imo., cant help but feel a bit sorry for Japan, still not all is lost, but football can be a cruel game as we know too well..

First games in a world cup are usually cagey then it turns. Argentina and Germany were maybe guilty of complacency. There is no doubt, in my opinion at least, that the middle eastern sides like Iran and Saudi Arabia have improved massively and are catching up. Japan today were poor I thought, but again complacency may be a thing. Might explain England too.

What the world cup often does is show how little the so called bigger nations know about the smaller ones. By that I mean players dont often know much about their opponents. I think sometimes they just believe Europe is the be all and end all.

Let's see what Belgium turn up here or will there be another upset.

Looking forward to Croatia v Canada as well. Got a feeling Canada will beat them

Ha'way Morocco. Belgium's golden generation are finished, time to see someone take an opportunity.

Teams like England should have an advantage as they mostly all play in England so are used to each other ...

... some teams must have met each other in the hotel.

They have very slow defenders in Vertonghen and Alderwiereld, a bit of pace up against them and there should be chances.

Ziyech offside, but that's the ball. Over the top and get them running back towards their own goal.

He ran around a lot, did some decent pressing. To be honest he would have to be a mixture of Ronaldo and Messi to drag his team through. Costa Rica are very poor

Morocco player interfering with play, it's a pretty standard offside these days unfortunately.
