This I disagree with. He’s a very good player. He will end up at Man City. Phillips will be cannon fodder. He made a mistake going there.
You're wrong on this one buddy, he's the real deal. It's been known for quite a while, there's a reason why a sizeable club like Birmingham retired his number when he left at the age of 16, they knew he was a good shout for world class levels. He's going to be the player Pogba could have been.
That would be world cup winning Paul Pogba and multi time champion Paul Pogba? Bet he's ****ing devastated at how his career has turned out
Yeah, i said it with a hint of Alan Partridges "Only the band the Beatles could have been". For France Pogba was a beast, alongside players like Kante to do his donkey work. Anyhoo, Bellingham will be winning titles in a few years time, whoever he moves to.
Whilst Liverpool and Manchester United are both looking for new owners/investors then this is the time to strike. Their current owners won't want to pay out. Just a pity there is Man City, Chelsea, Bayern, Real, Barcalona, PSG etc
Thankfully our clubs scouts etc are more into buying good players than popular names, so solid underrated players like Harrison will be more likely. He's a very good player and would be a very good addition. Every window starts off with unrealistic names, then people feel underwhelmed and then we destroy the opposition on the pitch. More of the same please.
I don't think he's the kind of lad who'd go to Real/Barca, both of whom have no money and this white-flag approach from L'pool and Man U must be sending shockwaves through those clubs, they're in all kinds of trouble. Bayern never pay big, not their model. He wouldn't go to PSG, he doesn't strike me as a money man. Chelsea? I don't know, again I don't think he's a Londoner and probably not bothered about that. I might be biased, but I don't get the appeal of Chelsea. Again, if I was a footballers footballer I'd not be keen to go Boehly's soccer team. Man City is clearly possible. Links with Dortmund from them already (Christ knows what kind of brown paper bag agreement is already in place for Haaland), an ageing KDB, potential for sending Gundogan back to Dortmund for free, Pep signing a new deal, clear dominance. So whilst I think we have a chance when previously there was less than none, I'd put my house on him going to City.
Well if we have any chance/desire to sign him, we won't be going for Maddison. I just don't see us going for Bellingham, the fee will be astronomical, what £120m?
I think this is exactly what will happen. We'll get the reseve RB from West Ham or Leeds, Andrey Santos and maybe one or two of these young Argies we've been linked with, and that will be it. We'll always be open to a decent money move - if Maddison, for example, is available for £45m instead of £60m, then we'll be in for him. But Harrison, as you say, is more likely at around £25m and is a winger who can play either side, which is what we need to push Murphy/Fraser away from the first team. It's about trying to identify where we can drastically improve on the first team. Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Bruno, Joelinton, ASM, Almiron, Wilson/Isak can only be marginally improved, at great expense, and even then it's risky. The way they're playing, it's challenging to improve on Longstaff, Willock, Burn. But Murphy, Manquillo, Lascelles, Fraser, Wood, Shelvey are all big drops in ability. Then you look at gametime - Wood's not a huge issue, because Isak's already here. Murphy, however, is playing too much and probably the priority replacement.
