Olive oil it is. Warmed up and dropped into ears.

I've had my ears dewaxed a number of times. They used to do it at the Medical practice but not now, not since Covid.

Put in the olive oil for a couple of weeks, softens up the wax and then get a qualified nurse to get it all out with a water suction pump. The difference is unbelievable if the ears are badly blocked. It costs us here now.

 

I hear perfectly though, or at least I think I do. I actually know a nurse, whose mate does the suction stuf for about 60 quid a pop, **** that for a laugh. I would rather use the thing from a clipper lighter that I used to use for joints to get the wax out. Robbing ****s.

 

when you put the olive oil in your ears, do you just leave it there? How many times do you do it and for how long?

 

508 times a day and you leave the drops in an hour at a time

Went to the doctor today over blocked ears, mutt and Jeff every now and then, €50 for the visit and she gave me a prescription for Waxsol, felt like a right thick when I realised it was an over the counter item and doesn't need a prescription though she did exam me and said they were was no infection which I got before after the water pump job. BTW @monacoger that Waxsol is only a fiver.

Over the counter stuff doesn't get rid of the wax, just softens it up.
