First ten mins were really encouraging but apart from the free kick afterwards we havent offered a lot to be fair. Some of our passing today has been pretty shabby imo. I guess thats the penalty for not playing Foxy and getting your centre back to try to ping it across the pitch!
Don't think PL will be looking for a new left winger in January though. Giving the ball away a big problem, think we could of got more service to the strikers with more of the ball.
Agreed. We gave the ball away too cheaply and too often at Anfield and again today. Do not want to sound over dramatic but a considerable amount of work needs doing on passing and composure.
I don't want to be too critical, but I think the problem is that neither of our centre takes charges of organising the defence
I'm really nervous about this half, think we cuold get over-run with Crofty our only central midfielder. I'd sacrifice Bennett for Fox and revert to our 'oh so successful' diamond formation from the past two seasons.
That's the thing about Leon Barnett, he's a defensive timebomb that sometimes goes boom... if Barnett never had to pass the ball or make a tackle, he'd be the perfect centre-back.
