Not bothered, just no more injuries please.

B team, and minutes on pitch for some.

    2-1 scrappy game.

I’m not sure I want that trophy on our honours list. Sort of a stain. 3-1 Pompey (I hope). Or just play the kids.

Absolutely all over the shop. Is Paul Lambert in charge tonight?

I reckon that’ll be our worst performance under McKenna. iFollow commentators clutching at straws for the pen shout at the end. Would have been very soft.

Show Hladky the door in January I reckon. There is no way we’d be promoted if anything happened to Walton. Could have easily been 5-0.

Lots of dodgy performances tonight although I have to say I thought in general Morsy and Humphreys looked a class above in the middle, they really are class on the ball and tenacious also.

Whilst we made alot of mistakes at the back tonight I think that was in part due to the pitch (lots of slips out there) but also a complete lack of anything at the top of the pitch.

We had the worst of all worlds, no focal point and no players to stretch the game. It felt like we were pretty much 3 players down and they were the front 3. It says alot when the most dangerous player in the box all night was KVY.

We actually play in a similar way to England and can learn alot from their performance yesterday as we have a tendancy too often to try to play through the middle even when teams are sitting deep. What England did so well was get the ball out wide and stretch the defence getting beyond the main striker.

Must say Morsy played some outstanding passes that Pirlo would have been proud of. Unfortunately his teammates can’t even trap the ball.

Agree we thought Evans was the only one who could do that but no Morsy can do everything. We're fortunate to have 2 players with the quality we have in those positions, hopefully as a partnership for a long time. Humphreys impresses me more everytime I see him.

I am glad to hear a few positives, although I didnt watch the game.

Clear to everyone and Ashton we need a striker or two. Mk will know what he wants by now.

Worried by the mounting injuries which could effect our run in Xmas period.

Do we field a stronger team v Buxton?

Certainly need to think about those forward positions in terms of strengthening but I do think we have good players up there just maybe we need to supplement them with other qualities and aren't always playing to the strengths of those in the team.

We lack alot of players who can hold onto the ball, the number of times players in those 10 positions lose the ball is ridiculous and none are particularly creative. We also lack players who run beyond the main striker and stretch teams. And we have very few if any strikers (judgement to be made on Ahadme) who really look like they have an instinct to get in the box on the end of things... Ladapo does that sometimes but it's not a strength of his. Chaplin and Harness are pretty good at arriving late in the box.

In summary I've never quite understood what the 2 10s are about and think we've often looked better this season with Edwards on who takes up a wider position so we effectively play 4231. That also gives Donacien and Burns more space on the right.

Although i never want us to lose im not concerned with this result in the least, it shows our second string players are not up to the challenge and i expect a clear out in the Summer and some going out on loan, Jackson continues to disappoint and his days must be numbered but for all that i hope McK doesnt put out a weak side on Sunday, i know theres bigger fish to fry but a cup run possibly against bigger teams really keeps the enthusiasm going amongst the fans.

Nice time to reflect on David Johnson who sadly died today. Remember watching Jono under Sir Bobby Robson in 1972/3. Now there was a proper striker!

That’s what we need - a third David Johnson. The first two were wonderful players!

    Spot on Hampy!

I am optimistic about the January window. After this bumpy ride last few games, Gamechanger and Ashton know what has to be done.
