Dippers, now The team from Salford.

Good riddance. The Yanks tried their hand at a lucrative breakaway super league as a means of securing their future income. They failed and now running off taiks bwtween legs as they see no future for their clubs. Their time for dominance has ended.

It’s music to our ears. And all part of the plan.

But the ****in bastards. They loved it when they controlled all the small premier league clubs but the minute one or some get above the water seal they don’t like it.

**** them. **** them for their arrogance. And **** them for their ignorance.

Bastards deserve what’s coming to them.

The funny thing is.. at their price (billions) plus debt in a league soon to be dominated by NUFC and MCFC.. who’d pay all of that for them?

Fair point. Our rise and financial clout will mean that all of the Greedy Six’s value will have dropped as their ‘guaranteed’ income sources become no longer ‘guaranteed’.

I think these American owners were genuinely shocked that their idea of franchises in a super league fell through and that is why they are now bailing out. They still haven't understood what football is all about despite all of their time here.

Investing in American sport doesn't have the downside risk that UK sport has that if the team doesn't perform you lose money. There is no relegation there, no intra-continent competition to miss out on and they still turn up to eat mainly and watch even if team is doing crap. The ESL was an attempt to reduce that risk and now that has disappeared the Glazers and FSG probably see more downside risk than upside opportunity so it makes sense to sell. They will both make major profits from the sale but I think both may find it difficult to find a buyer that puts the sporting interests of the clubs first.

Hopefully they won't care about that and will end up selling to a Chinese billionaire who will move them into the Chinese League.

Jim Ratcliffe seems most likely, but to your point I think he would have sporting interests at heart so could be outbid. Glazers are clearly all about money.

I did get some bites when some of my Manc mates were begging for Ratcliffe last night by saying what s transformation he’s made at the European giants of OGC Nice…..

Their transfer activity during the Glazer era has been pretty poor since the Glazers came in. Buying the best players but not thinking about what the team needs. I suspect that’s because they have changed managers regularly and left all activity to senior management like Woodward. Think that ten Haag is the first manager to really have his say and they are starting to get the players in they need rather than players who are there to sell shirts.

Suspect if they get an owner who cares more about the football side it may be what they need.

In agreement with this, they've chopped and change managers with opposing football philosophies regularly, jumping from defensive coaches to attacking coaches and each of them bringing their own players in to fit their needs.

It's a massive ****ing issue a certain club in North London will face when Conte leaves them eventually.
