I'd say it has more to do with technique .. most of the previous 'Golden Generation' had 'good engines' ... but were limited in more subtle artistry... not since Gascoigne have we had a player able to receive the ball in a tight space and then have the technique to not only hold on to it, but go past players whilst still in control of the ball ... we now have several in this current squad...
