    US team is talented, but they really struggled in qualis and friendly to put together a coherent XI. Not a lot of natural goalscorers, and also their defense has a tendency to make calamitous mistakes.

    The Scrooge of a head teacher at school forbade staff from showing the england game (because one game in four years would clearly cause the students irreparable damage to their education) so I missed the game. Watched most of the first half on catch up. Was tempted to watch the second half but my phone's notifications spoiled the result. Nice scoreline though!
