Especially as that's probably the best chance he'll get to score a WC goal. No one would have blamed him at 5-1
The amount of attacking talent we have is unreal. We really need to take the Keegan managerial approach and just go for goals, especially as we are still unconvincing at the back.
On the flip side if we push too much that defence will be unbelievably exposed, especially against the big sides.
That is never a penalty in a million years. The sort of call that really makes you think there is a betting syndicate in the earpiece
You must be mistaken mate. I'm reliably informed that VAR works perfectly outside of PL and there's never any problems.
I mean, by all means clamp down on defenders holding players in the area, but at least do it throughout the whole game.
Let's be honest 6-2 flattered them. What a joke to give that penalty! Anyway, great start. We have so much attacking talent. And Bellingham was outstanding.
If I remember rightly it worked rather smoothly at (I think) the euros? And some people seem to think that is how it works all the time But I might be misremembering because there was definitely a tournament where every decision took ages. Was that Russia ?
I guess it is good to be reminded early on that a lot of gymnastics will be being performed when it comes to VAR when England are involved. Hopefully it doesn’t matter and nothing is close enough. Would sooner be comprehensively beaten than to have a decision like that last one be the deciding factor
