Admittedly the Qataris looked rather **** ... but Ecuador looked a tidy outfit with some excellent technical footballers ... ain't gonna roll over for Senegal and the Dutch ... Based on the Qataris recent tournament win, we should be spanking Iran if they are indeed worse ...
That's laughably pathetic. "oooh we really care and really want to make a protest. Oh but not if I'll get a yellow card" I don't have a problem with players taking a stand but have some ****ing bottle to stick with it ffs. Look like right ****s now.
That would simply have been viewed as a 'trailer' when me and my mates were Greek Island hopping back in the late 70s / early 80s ...
Passionate response Where was his passionate response when Freddie Kanoute was getting booked and fined 3k for this... Spurly's right. Defo agenda here. Oh and unlike Kane at least Freddie had the balls to do it regardless of the consequences.
To be honest I just want to watch the football. I'm not interested in what the **** they get up to over there. If it's that bad they shouldn't have been given the ****ing thing in the first place. We all know what happened. If countries don't like it then don't turn up. Tell FIFA to go stick their tournament up their corrupt arses. To do a U turn after years of moaning etc is a ****house move. Imagine Kane getting banned for the third match and the uproar it would cause. Especially if other countries did it too. That would be a bit of a statement. I don't agree with it but at least I'd respect it. At this point the ****housery is just laughable.
We definitely should be but we all know Southgate's laborious formation and tactics will likely make it a much closer game than it should be. England's quality lies in attacking midfield and forwards yet he caters to having additional bang average defenders in that back five.
Feel people are underestimating Iran a bit. Yeah we should be winning but no way should we be expecting a heavy win here. I'd take 1-0 now. They got 4 points from a group including Spain and Portugal last time out so its not like they're complete dogshit. Throw in the conditions which they'll be used to (compared to us being in country 6 days) then I think this is just as tough as any of our other games. Certainly the one I'm most worried about losing.
Yep would definitely take a 1-0 win. On the other hand anything less than 3-0 will be seen as abject failure by the press because we're England and England are England because we're England, or something like that.
