Final warning, you're approaching the number of posts per day you're allowed, and don't mention Hull again today. 'They're' watching, especially the ones that have you on ignore. :emoticon-0100-smile

Too late for that. If countries - including England - wanted to make some moral objection to playing in Qatar, they should have done so 10 - 12 years ago when the tournament was awarded to them

Suppose the players could just sit on the floor.

Would like to see Kane wear that armband.

Hopefully all will leave FIFA after this. Not sure how they have the temerity to pull this off on the morning of the game after all the corruption and scandal. Football can **** itself.

The time for refusal was what, twelve years ago? Time to play football, anything else is white noise distraction.

Again, the time to tell FIFA to do one was twelve years ago

If the players went and sat on the floor, that would potentially be a more powerful message than pulling out 12 years ago. Particularly if other nations followed suit. There’s no reason why not, the football will only be a sideshow at this Qatari royal family private exhibition anyway.

Problem being the Qataries have promised to make changes and improve things every time they were criticised. Now what to do this far down the road, our FA along with 8 others said they would wear an arm band ( a pathetic gesture anyway ) but having done that they should have the balls to stick with it, if it results in the team's not having enough players to field a team so be it.

It is pretty pathetic the backcrawl on wearing the band
If they believed in it theyd still wear it

    Ah well

The sideshow is something I alluded to in an earlier post. Football will not be the headline maker at this world cup. And today we have the first. If the players, of any nation, felt so strongly about any of the injustices. Simple, refuse to go. Not sit down.

No one will do anything that could jeopardise their chances of hosting future tournaments or lead to sanctions of any kind

FIFA is bent a a nine Bob note and every one knows it, they belief they are untouchable, this was a chance for change. Nine European nations standing up to them, fairly sure others would have come on board but they have bottled it.
In breaking news FIFA are saying something about the reason being they want teams to wear a climate change armband of theirs.

FIFA need climate change, they should be frozen out. A classic example of a corrupt organisation knowing they're bent, everyone knowing they're bent, and them not caring one jot. :emoticon-0172-mooni

The captain should wear the Fifa armband and the whole team should wear One Love headbands, surely that's ok

Fully behind the captains doing this and shame on FIFA.

But I find this a bit cringe.
