Can anyone explain that offside goal to me? I missed it at the time but it looks like they called offside on a player running from the edge of the area to head a ball. Didn't get explained at all.
They are using this new semi automated offside system. I think was part of it. Technically, as the lad jumped for the second header, one players foot was offside and the assist came in when he was in a position to infleunce. I dont agree with it, but on a technicality probably an accurate decision. Hate to think we see that in a world cup knock out game mind.
Well we are up and running with the football, thankfully. Not the worst opening games I have ever seen, but probably one of the worst teams. Ecuador look a decent side, but cautious about getting too carried away based on their opponents. Holland may have a battle in their hands.
I feel a bit sorry for the players here mind. This was decided when they were kids and now they're the only ones left who are able to take a stand after the FA and the international football community refused to. It's easy for us to say wear it and then walk off if booked and get onto the first flight home. They should never have been put into this position though.
That phrase is totally idiotic ... ... aren't people allowed to discuss yesterday's match before today's kicks off Why not go away and invent a chat forum where only the future can be talked about and you can tell everyone what to say.
