Sebastian Drussi story has been around a few weeks but this weekend gets traction as it seems simple? Drussi seen as a similar player to Rodrigo but an upgrade. Bamford now too much of a gamble this could be what is leading Jesse Marsch to dip into the transfer market this January for an eerily similar player to the 31-year-old. As per TyC Sports, the Yorkshire outfit could be preparing a move to sign FC Austin striker Sebastian Driussi, who has been in blistering goalscoring form. With interest also coming from German clubs, it led journalist Manuel Veth to Tweet about the attacker, revealing a price tag of €15m (£13m). His recent record makes Rodrigo’s resurgence seem like a drop in the ocean as last campaign saw him notch up 25 goals and provide a further six assists for his side. Whilst the 26-year-old can play up front, he too has his position listed as a ‘second striker’ just like Leeds’ Spanish forward. It does mark a true breakout year for the Argentine, although he has been a relatively consistent goalscorer throughout his career. He boasts 29 goals for River Plate, and 25 for Zenit St. Petersburg too, but only recently has he announced himself as someone truly worth taking note of. It is these displays that led his head coach Josh Wolff to shower him with praise, stating: “I think he’s quite a valuable player for us.”
druissi looks like a player… but it’s the mls. Remember castellanos we were linked with in the summer?… he’s not pulling up trees in LaLiga. Apparently he was a hot junior but he didn’t set the world alight in Russia.. and ended up in the US - not the signs of an upwardly mobile career path. Maybe they like Driussi because he can cover AM and striker. He’s nearly 27, so could be he’s rediscovered his mojo but maybe the standard there is just cack. Be a bit of a punt if it happened.
Anyone see the woke cnut Infantino virtue signalling to the western media this morning? Wont bother you with the whole shytshow but this quote nearly had me throwing up He opened by saying: "Today I have strong feelings. Today I feel Qatari, I feel Arab, I feel African, I feel gay, I feel disabled, I feel a migrant worker."
He’s not woke at all, completely the opposite in fact. He basically was disrespectful to just about everyone to justify this ****show of a tournament.
Sounds worse than that Saville fella to me He should lose his job over those comments Just like Blatter he feels untouchable and accountable to no one
He's fecked up and trying to look good. The only person he could possibly fool is himself. Give him to the migrant workers and then see how he feels the khunt.
Obviously he took his extra large brown paper envelope and made up a few smaller ones This smacks and smells like the Blatter thing
Agree with you. What I can’t understand is why no one has walked away. I can only presume legal reasons
Speculation that Tyler Adams to be named USA Captain….. should also mean he is club captain next season maybe
Wonder what every National team would look like if there were not so many injuries. All due to squeezing too many league matches into short space of time due to World Cup
Didn't Bradley Wright Phillips piss that league? He was **** over here, so using the the MLS as any kind of bench mark is dangerous. I agree
MLS is in my opinion, about equivalent to the Championship from the research I have done. According to WhoScored.com, he has an average rating of 7.25 whilst playing in the MLS, which I consider to be equivalent to a Premier League player getting a rating of approx 6.8, which for this season would put him in the Top 80 Premier League players, on the basis of the rating system used by WhoScored. I can't give any personal opinion because I have no idea who he is, whether he is good or not, or would fit our system (whatever that is ),so can only compare him against the list of data I have to see where he fits within that remit.
Rodrigo has only played 890 minutes compared to the the 3 guys above him who have completed 1,200 minutes minimum. So he is actually working hard and doing it in the equivalent of 3.5 games less than the other 3
And on a posit note this morning I see Bamford has four more years remaining on his contract. Brilliant
