WTF is happening over there? He apparently bought the platform for $44bn

Sacks half the staff
Alienates most of it's users by proposing a monthly fee
Locks the rest of the staff out it's buildings
Everyone now tweeting that twitter is dead

What was his gameplan there? He's like me winning the Euro Millions, buying the mags and shutting them down for the pure bantz

He turned up to find out it was losing four million quid a day and did what any sane business owner would do. Look to cut costs.

It's funny watching the crackpots howling at the idea anyone but them is allowed an opinion on there and you can't just drive anyone who disagrees off the platform. It's also funny watching Musk go from liberal (American definition) darling to Satan despite being exactly the same person he was when he was their hero.

If it all collapses sane people won't shed a tear. It hasn't been a force for good in the world, quite the opposite. It's encouraged the very worst in people.

He didn't do his due diligence, walked into a company he didn't know enough about and has started throwing his weight around.

Twitter is a cesspit and a failing company. Musk is an arrogant prick, ****ting all over workers rights.

They're welcome to each other.

I'm assuming he financed the takeover, rather than use his own money - he may be a lot of things, but he's not daft. Be an amazing collapse if it went to ground

FWIW I don't mind twitter - as soon as I learned how to mute certain words and phrases it became a decent place to be

Whilst I agree… I’d still have a Tesla!!!

A week after demanding everyone comes back to the office, he's closed the offices and not letting anyone in.

Too many "entrepreneurs" believe their own hype these days and think they have some kind of special gift. Ironically, it's social media like Twitter that usually celebrates this cult of personality.

Neighbour has a Y(?) Lots of build quality problems!

When good car manufacturers produce cheaper electric cars we will get one.

I have a hybrid atm

The place is one of these Zen artsey fartsey places as you would imagine. Everyone doing "Work" in "Chill zones" when they aren't at their desk.Employing 6 Gurus that are experts at Atmosphere sniffing on 100k a year making sure the mood is right or its everyone to the "good mood room to scream into a beanbag", "We don't call it work here so just leave when you want to" and still get paid. Canteen is probably free aswell. Fred the security guard popping about on a space hopper (Elon probably likes that). Places like that are almost certainly full of programmers,HR and Management. With about 50 positions that are made up. Probably why he has restructured, when he askes the bloke that runs the Emoji department on 250k a year what he actually does. All imo ofcourse.

Great business man Musk. Basically told them they need to start pulling their weight and threw their toys out of the pram. Sounds like the company is better off without them. Twitter is the best social media platform by a mile as well.

Looks the sort of place where many will take the piss.
Those 20 somethings are not looking too hard done by and living more than the good life, bet they don’t give a **** about the price of electricity. Meanwhile in the real world there’s many folk digging literal holes during the day and neither have the money or the energy to pop out to the theatre on a school night. The fact there’s huge sympathy for these people shows that the worlds upside down at the moment. Musk may be a ****er but he’s no fool.

spot on. like i said in my post, there'll be made up jobs there where he has went in and said "Are yous taking the piss". I was being sarcastic when I said there was a head of Emojis on 100k a year, but I bet I'm not far off. "Buffet"? So free meals aswell. Nair, I've went through a re structure or 2 in my working life, at a time when in reality, there were jobs for all that needed doing. Places like Twitter need Programmers, HR (Wages and Advertising Admin) and Supervisors. Musk probably knows that better than anyone.

Watch a film on Netflix called "The circle", Tom Hanks. I bet its not far off.
