I will never forget what I consider to be my favourite goal of all time. It was Tony Yeboah, a 30 yard volley into the top right hand corner of the net. Yeboah's reaction straight afterwards was amazing. Not only did we win that day 1-0 but we kept a clean sheet.

Anybody have any special goals, that come to mind.

Supporting a team that once had Matt Le Tissier in it, and you ask if we have ANY favourite goals..?

How many do you want me to come up with 1, 10, 20..? ;)

From my era (I sadly only caught the end of Le Tissier's career, and even that was blighted badly by injury), I would say Marian Pahars vs Man United at Old Trafford.

(That is enough information for any Saints fans to know which goal I'm talking about, but for you Leeds fans, it was in a 3-3 draw and Pahars nutmegged Stam outside the box before firing past Taibi. Outside of Southampton, the game itself is probably better known for Taibi's absoloute howler in letting a long rang pee-roller from Le Tiss creep underneath his body).

Was looking for Alex ferguesons favourite MLT goal where he simply nutmegs the keeper but can not find, Fergie said something "no one else could have scored it, you know when Matts on the ball it means a goal

I'd have to say it would be Le tissier's Goal against blackburn in 1994! There are so many to choose from but it was his best solo goal! If you look at good quality video's of the when the goal is scored even the blackburn fans applauded lol no one does that unless it was a special goal!

Think you might be getting a tad confused. Anyway, for ellandback and You, here the nutmeg. Blink and you'll miss it.

EDIT: Found a better version. No need to blink.

it Was deffo MLT, Fergie was in a panel of prem managers, it was nominated for Managers goal of the season, just because it was so simple. i will find it

EDIT: St Brendy has already mentioned it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTF4jUw_hyw 2nd goal from the end, 1:45 in, MLT nutmegs Taibi, its no wonder goal like some, it was his favourite because it showed how MLT believed he could score everytime he had the ball

Le Tiss v Blackburn - he said to Flowers before the game he would put one past him from 40 yards.

    or

    Beattie v West Brom

Well I've seen pretty much all of Matty's goals and I don't remember it. There's loads of excellent goals, that aren't as well known as the usual suspects, that he scored, but I don't remember a nutmeg. Of course, there's that goal against Norwich, in which he scored one of his hat-tricks, where he went past 4 or 5 players, and beat ex-Saint, Andy Townsend twice, before scoring. There might be a nutmeg in there somewhere. ;)

    Jonny Howson's second against Carlisle.

It wasn't a spectacular goal but it was such perfect timing after a perfect performance, and I've never celebrated a goal so much.
