Wilshere He impressed me yesterday and its nice to see a English player who has skill and technique and a football brain. He is going to become a massive player and he is more skilled than Lampard would ever be. He is at one of the best teams to learn his trade but he looks a talent.
Wilshere and Lampard are two totally different players with different attributes. Wilshere is a ball winner and Lampard is a goal scorer, try and work out the nuances between players as most comparisons are not as straight forward as your stupid comments suggest.
How can you disagree? Wilshere's best position is in the Makelele role at defensive midfield, in fact his so good at it Capello plays him there for England. Wilshere will score the odd goal but he will never be as prolific as Lampard because they play two different positions. Christ how old are you FFS
I have to disagree wengar said he better at attacking. Lampard has never been world class but I think in time Wilshere could be
Lampard's record is better than Paul Scholes and has won * FIFA World Player of the year 2005 *Runner up Ballon d'Or 2005 * FWA Footballer of the year 2005 * UEFA Club Midfielder of the year 2008 * World X1 2005 * PFA fans player of the year 2005 * England player of the year 2004, 2005 * Barclays player of the season 2005, 2006 * PFA Premier league team of the year 2004, 2005, 2006 * Midfielder with the most goals in premier league history Not world Class You Muppet
He never won fifa world player of the year he was a runner up to ronaldinho. Scholes has been praised by the best Xavi, zidane etc his loyalty and quietness has made him not get the praise he has deserved. Lampard has never had anything but goals to his game.
Wilshere looks very good indeed. Doesn't surprise me as I'd heard him talked about for a couple of years before he finally broke through and also saw him tear Liverpool apart in the Youth Cup final 2 or 3 years ago. Looks quality. I know they are different types of players but who do you think will be better between Ramsey (assuming he gets back to his best) and Wilshere? I was very impressed with Ramsey in the lead up to his injury last season.
Em, no. Wilshere plays in centre mid at Arsenal, not defensive mid. Wilshere/Fab/Nasri whoever is in midfield take turns going forward whilst the other stays back and plays the balls in. Wilshere was only further back against barca for obvious reasons

He's never going to bag 15-20 goals a season because he's going to have Fabregas/Nasri playing in his preferred position. He's an attacking player naturally.
Players are given set positions based on whether they're able to perform playing in that position. As you know Walcott was a striker at Southampton but Wenger decided to change his position, I'll give you the opportunity to answer why Wenger made that decision.
Let me tell you something here, having played the game at a good standard and managing a successful youth team that has had many players make professional status I can tell you that Wilshere at present is a natural DM. Whether Wenger plays him there or not its pretty plain to see. Even Capello's optician sees it.
Ginge, Lampard has nothing except goals to his game and players like Zidane have scored far less than him but who is better? Zidane by a country mile and is about 100 times better than him. Football is also about control, skill, technique and vison and Lamps lacks all of them
