Very random I know. I was peckish and wanted a snack. Went for cheese on toast, with Branston Pickle. Made me remember how much I love pickle. Simple things in life eh? What basics are in your fridge that make you smile?
I did get myself a glass of merlot to go with them, which is now suggesting I shouldnt leave it half full..
I like them both, sometimes get the ones that are mixed. Once you start it's hard to stop eating them. When I've got a nice cup of tea it's always reassuring to see a packet of chocolate hobnobs in there as well.
Yuk!! I can't stand any sort of pickle, if my missus has been eating it she better scrub her teeth before she has her wicked way with me Got some Falafel, yoghurt mint sauce and a bottle of Pinot Grigio in the fridge with my name on it
small red pepper stuffed with cheese, baguette cut small with and topped with herb cream cheese and garlic, topped with chorizo
If I'm in the mood for some really fine cuisine on the go there's nothing like a bit of Tesco's wafer thin ham wrapped in one of Tesco's imitation cheese mild slices.
I mentioned the 19 Crimes 'cos that's what's sitting at my side now, next to my glass, and it's blinking lovely . . . . our favourite white wine We do have other stuff in the fridge . . . . like some more, which I need to get now
Years ago I used to get these little crispy breads, like mini baguettes already cut in half length ways, but really crispy, in a bag of about 15. Only about 3 inches long or so and cover them in garlic and herb cream cheese. Lovely. Can't seem to get the breads any more for some reason though.
On the topic of what's in the fridge (basically nowt in ours cos we need to go shopping!) but I was wondering what are everyone's thoughts on whether chocolate should go in the fridge - the missus says yes but I reckon no cos it knacks your teeth and the top of your mouth when you try to bite into it
Onion Chutney Red Leicester Pate Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc Think I've just described my perfect Friday night
always put mine in the fridge nowt worse than soft choccy sticking to the top of your mouth, which reminds me ASDA chocolate madeira, cake the one from the fresh bakery counter made in a circle its heaven and is packed with choccy flavour or cold crab nippers yum
If I buy any sort of sweets for myself I always put them in the fridge. Sports mixtures, wine gums, haribo tangfastics, Toblerone, Terry's chocolate orange or owt like that then it's in the fridge for me. I like the challenge, especially against a Toblerone.
