Not today Odddy mate would have but went and got hammered last neet and feeling the effects so will watch on tv and then the racing afterwards
Doncaster 15.10. Pekan Star @9/1 and Willing Foe @ 12/1, both with Ladrokes, offers a minimum 4/1 the pair against the field. Quite like the look of that. Willing Foe ran well after a long lay off last time out and won a 12f race easily (with Dettori riding) last year. Pekan Star lightly raced son of Montjeu out of a mare by Arc winner Trempolino and steps up in distance. Not sure about the soft ground but hopefully one of them will be OK on it. The other question mark is Willing Foe's jockey, with Frankie being at the BC.
Royston Drenthe to score first in the Newcastle game, I just have a funny feeling that Everton will score first and he is about the only player in their team who looks dangerous at times.
Good player that Drenthe Nass . Key player missing for both teams today. Newcastle Tiote, Everton Fellani
Fairly good gamble on this Molotof in the first. Matched as big as 2.36 this morning but now into 1.69 before the off.
And wins very easily. Good runs from the 2nd and 3rd too. They should be up to taking a Novice hurdle in the immediate future.
Just one i really fancy today although will be having a play on a few others but with not too much confidence. The selection i wanted to post up is Sandown 2.25 Songe 7-1 He won the race last year and was sent off a backed fav for an easier race in October but fell when just coming to contest at the third last. He will be fit and will be fancied and i think has a great chance of repeating last years victory at a good price. Good luck to all today
Noel Fehily is to miss his rides on The Nightingale and Kauto Stone. Paul Carberry will take over on both of them. His flight was delayed because of fog: http://www.racingpost.com/news/hors...-key-down-royal-rides-on-saturday/942935/top/
Afternoon all. Nice to se a few more big players of the jumps reappearing today. Granduoet will be closely watched but not punted! Two that have been though are: 14.50 Down Royal Kauto Stone has big hooves to fill and I suspect he's priced on 'hype' as much as anything so I've had to oppose him. Roi du Mee is a very capable horse and was very impressive last day. Could well win this. 16.00 Down Royal Monksland (nap) wins the bumper. Noel Meades only runner with Nina onboard. Will be backed on course. I've avoided the JN Champ Chase as it's extremely trappy. Quito de la Roque has had a poorish prep so that's put me off him. If he was cherry ripe he'd be picking them up and carrying them home. I think Midnight Chase could well make all and 6-1 is a fair price, though I'm merely watching this one.
Gotta love a grind. I think one of the best prospects today comes from sandown in the 15:30, in the shape of Earth Planet. The field of nine sees only the two runners who've had a recent run. The other Local Present is hardly setting the world alight. Nicholls has stuck a 7 pound claimer on the old bloke who was backed last start when third Iheardu at Cheltenham over the 3 miles. A nice each way quote. Another in the same boat is Sizing Europe in the G1 Champion Chase at Down Royal. Boston Angel and Quito De La Roque are the ones to beat, but as they are both first up, they have to be taken on trust.
