This gets better every time I see it....absolutely brilliant. Our latest worldy....building up a canny collection of them.
I mean it's all about Amad, the way he makes the space and hits it unexpectedly quickly and so accurately is brilliant, it is a great pass from Neil though. He's got a real knack for putting the perfect speed, spin and direction on his passes. Can't teach it.
He slowed right down to cut in, he had 100% confidence he could do something against the defenders. A lot of wingers would have carried on at that speed he was going when receiving the ball and tried a cross. They actually get a couple of players back cause he cuts in but he still pinged it through them. Very good goal that. As good as Roberts can be I have a feeling Amad might show more consistency?
One things for sure is our attacking ability can be ****ing devastating. We have some key players injured and with the exception of Cardiff and maybe Boro? We haven't looked ****e against anyone imo.
We've brought in new players, either deliberately or through absences, and lost a manager who either wanted more money or didn't share the vision of the club. If it's the latter, or both, then what should the club have done. With a slightly fortunate promotion to a higher division, a new manager, arriving with someone else's players and no pre-season, key injuries and games against higher placed opposition I'd happily say our position is a credit to the whole club. Yes we might've had another striker but, without the two injuries, it wouldn't have been much talked about. Yes Stewart might go but that's life tbh, all but a few clubs can hang onto every player they wish. After this break I'm hoping the squad is in better shape but, at worst, I'm hoping to see another top quality goal or two. Wyke scoring thirty tap ins is fine but I've seen it all before. We're gaining a reputation as an entertaining team and that's something I can't remember seeing in fifty years.
I still don't think we can hammer the club for not having another striker. Unlucky to have injuries to two. And despite what Speakman keeps saying it seems like we sorted a deal for Broadhead. Wish he would just say that, tried for Broadhead he changed his mind last minute. After that there was no one else that interested us, we have felt it cause of the injuries but we have been scouting since ready for another go come January. It's the we never don't need one so didn't look cause we have Dajaku and Amad that has pissed people off!
Watched the match and highlights a few times and two things caught my eye. 1. When the cameras picked out the female linesman she was always smiling and laughing, you don't normally see the officials apparently enjoying themselves. 2. Amads celebration, what's with the hand over his right ear and the other covering his left eye...what's all that about.
Fell...kept an eye on her and she had a good game, couldn't fault anything she did and as I say she seemed to be happy to be there. Perhaps the fans had nice things to say to her
First time I've seen Natalie Aspinall not to be confused with Sian Massey , both blondes, with pony tails, but more to the point both very good at their jobs, if only we could say the same about their male counterparts. .
HUGGINS ON RETURN The win against Birmingham was great for many reasons, one of those was the return of Niall Huggins which saw him play the entirety of the game. After the game he opened up about his recovery process. FIRST GAME BACK “It was unbelievable. I think the last ten minutes I was just dying to hear that final whistle. For the first game back, it was a tough game. It was a well-fought game by the lads. We all got stuck in, especially after we conceded the first goal, they were piling the pressure on. I thought we dealt with it well and came out with an unreal result going into the break. First half was a bit of a shock intensity wise because I’ve been playing with the younger lads for a while now but second half I got into it a bit more. I thought I did a job well to be fair.” ……. https://www.a-love-supreme.com/single-post/huggins-on-return
After an xpected nervy start he gradually grew into the game. For me the turning point where his confidence grew was after 34 minutes, which can be seen on the full game above. Patterson clipped a ball to him which he took on his chest right on the touchline as Bacuna bore down on him. He calmly flicked it first time over his head and the inside to Neil.
Anyone else bored stiff with no game this week? Was desperate for then break to get players back but I’m already missing it
Birmingham and Eustace puzzle me. He's highly regarded but I'm missing the appeal. They barely pass the ball. It's just a packed midfield or defence, win the ball and launch it. Nothing wrong with that but it's no different to half the Championship. Apart from a few teams like Burnley it's all just a big lottery .... ... no reason, in my opinion, we can't get into the top six when we have a full first team squad.
