As expected, that was no different than under Ralph. Look good in spells, comical defending at times. Typical error expected from a young keeper and can't finish chances.
I disagree- I thought it was a much more positive performance than recently under Ralph. Although I massively agree about the young keeper comment. Feel like that was a gamble that isn’t paying off so far. Needs to be a lot more commanding. Although he made some quality saves too
Aside from all the BS from a petty few that are ruining this thread due to their own hang ups (crap like this puts people off joining forums by the way) - it's early days but what did people think of Jones? Any noticeable changes in style?
We seemed more aggressive and positive. But hard to tell against such good opposition. I still think we are in the worst 3 teams and will go down without significant investment & luck in jan personally
good that we seem to be more aggressive. Personally I don't think we'll get relegated - I quite like the sound of Jones now
Really hope im wrong and NJ is a diamond that can get us out of trouble. But the combination of a young inexperienced keeper and back four with ineffective attacking options means even he’s the worlds best manager he will struggle.
Would be typical that the first time we spend any money in 4/5 seasons is the time we go down. It’s so hard to call atm as there is a long way to go and lots of things could happen to all the teams in the bottom half.
We concede a lot of goals but are we really blaming Bazunu? imho he's a step up from McCarthy & Forster. Not rooted to his line for a start. It pleases me every time I see him come out to claim a cross / corner. We havent had that in a Keeper for a long time.
