Coyle on for Christie was a laughable decision. 2 new centre backs still needed as well, til then it’s get used to these games we shouldn’t lose but do.
2 very poor goals today and slow ponderous build up play from City. We failed to kick on after the early goal and despite Reading offering very little we didn't control the game. Coyle for Christie totally baffled me, just shows the depth we are lacking.
Agreed. If we’re going to persist with this 4-3-3 possession-based Man City-style football, we need a ball-winner in midfield (think Rodri but obviously not as good). We also need pace on the wings instead of playing Docherty and Slater as wide midfielders.

Well that was a let down. At Cardiff even though we went behind at one point we dominated the ball and pitch. I was expecting the same especially when we went 1 up. But it did not materielize Seri was not at his scitillating best even though over the course of the game he got better but he did not seem to get the ball in the right places and was barely strumming the strings as opposed to pulling them Still he one of our better performers., Christie was very poor by his standards and had a number of opportunities in the first half to make something of balls he down the right but today he was either well marshalled by the Reading defenders or. he was off his game. Thought Figueredo had a decent game and could have scored except for a fine save by the keeper. He has improved under Rosenoir. Sinik when he came on looked the most likely to make things happen but there was not the snap that we same at Cardiff. Tufan was ineffctive when he came on. Longman had a number of chances none of them clear cut but its telling he failed to convert any of them. Think after Cardiff Rosenoir and crew saw a new role further up front for Slater but he did not manage to repeat his performance was largely ineffective in and around the box. Overall City lacked a spark but surely they cant have been dreaming of fig cocktails by the pool in Antalya. Just in case can you guys who were lucky enough to win the lottery make sure that they are working on defending set pieces please.
Not really, Christie looked ****ed. Coyle's never been great technically and he doesn't have that dynamism to really attack their full back. He did put in a decent ball or 2 though

Woods is only good at playing sideways or backwards passes to Seri and the centre-halves. Whenever he does attempt a forward pass, he either under or over hits it. Really pointless signing imo. Completely takes the momentum out of our phases of play.

Whilst he goes in for the ball one footed, he sets off with both feet off the ground, it's unfathomable that he wasn't gone for that

I actually thought we weren’t so bad today, In terms of Longman, I’m not his biggest fan, but he made some really intelligent runs today, but needed to do more on the ball. I thought it was a shame Pelkas went off when he did, as he was making a lot of our attacking play tick. We didn’t deserve to lose, and I actually take more positives away from it than negatives. Defensively we need to be better but the passing was better than a lot of the home games so far this season. The ref didn’t help, but we have to play the match we are in and Considering it was a third game in a week so Rosie hasn’t had a lot of time on the training ground, I’m pleased we look better. Get Oscar, Tetteh and Allahyar back and I think we can look forward to after the break.
Whilst I should be writing 5...we all probably would have taken 4 points out the last 3 games, albeit in a different order that we acquired them.
