Not too bad, but not sure the right hand side works at all. In a surprise to nobody, we still need a striker…
Some positives - we played some through balls and got more players forward. It's good to have Lavia back and Ward-Prowse seems to be playing in a position that suits him again. Marking has been poor and I think it may be good to go to a back four also to squeeze the space outwide. We definitely need an A Armostrong upgrade and a right back fit again soon!
Southampton player dispossesses Liverpool player. This clearly cannot be correct, so it must have been foul play
Right wing BACK is called that for a reason and it requires someone who is proficient at defending, AMN should've played there instead of Mo El and it's cost us in the first half. Hopefully it will be rectified in the second half but at least the WC break means that KWP and Tino will be closer to fitness.
I don’t think the problem is Moi. ABK is all over the place and he is giving Nuñez the easiest game of his life with both his positioning and his lack of awareness as to where he is. When the ball is on our left ABK is totally focused on the ball and Nuñez is just waiting behind him then either running across him or drifting away from him by holding his own position. ABK needs to be playing with his body a little bit more square so he can actually see what Nuñez is doing.
I give up. I’m going to the gym instead. Nathan, you have a lot of work to do over the next six weeks my friend.
Think I'd like Mara on for AA and maybe Aribo for SA? Dont have anything against Armstrongs but still...
