I hope I’m wrong, but cannot see any major buys this January, even though I suspect Jesse is easier to persuade than Marcelo was about mid season signings. I doubt we have the potential to interest a half decent striker (or LB for that matter) as they’ll be looking way above our level. They’ll want the prospect of challenging for trophies/Europe or both. Therefore we will have to rely on Victors scouting network to find us a £10m gem ( assuming we can afford that with monies for Augustin to be covered), a short term loan or get by with what we’ve got. That’s the sad but understandably reality of 16 years out of the top flight, and the owners we had over that period. I can live with that, and I’d rather build slowly than chance doing a Leeds/ Derby (and a load of others) by getting it wrong.
At the press conference yesterday when asked about January, I thought Marsch made it clear he wanted a striker. He didn’t say we’d get one, but he made it clear he wanted one.
I made it clear couple of months back what i wanted for xmas. Last week i was asked for any ideas what i would like. Looks like I'm not getting my choice after all.
That’s just her way of saying a blow job’s out of the question… and do you want deodorant or soap on a rope?
“talked enough about the striker position in the summer and I don't think that that's gone away” …. jesse speak for “get me some fkng goals Victor”
What do we make of this…. ****** What's the situation with Cody, he wasn't involved in midweek? Could we see him go out in January? “The plan was to have him in the squad and he said he wasn't physically ready. He said he felt he was injured so then we didn't put him in the squad.” ******* ‘he said he felt he was injured?’ Not ‘he was injured’ All not rosy there methinks.
Wish I had a job like that. Decide on a Monday I don’t think I feel we’ll then take week off and get full pay
The only signing we will make is Wagner at left back, if we still want him. The MLS is now finished and that will be our supermarket in January. No club will let any of their decent players leave mid season in Europe. We just have to hope for survival again.
Personally I don’t blame him. Football is a short career and he doesn’t want to waste it playing U21 / development games. I’d rather see players getting pissed off for not playing than happy to sit back picking up their decent wages.
Now I don’t blame any player got wanting to play. But this is the guy who threw his toys out of the pram to get a loan deal last Jan. Now it seems he MAY be making excuses to not play. Genuinely hope they sort something out that suits all. He’s a good young player. I’m not totally sold on rasmus and Ayling is getting on a bit - could/should be pushing for first team place sooner rather than later - but you get a sense he may be on his way out soon.
I don't know if there's any truth in this or if its been mentioned on here before mate, apologies if so, but I heard we were after signing George Hall from Birmingham is this old news or just bollox, I don't know.
His boots don't fit him it seems. Said last season he should have been sold and looks like he is wanting away again. This time it should be loan and purchase end of season or let him rot
Probably reads this forum and all the praise he’s been getting has given him a big head. People need to be more careful with what they write like you and me wakey
I'd love to know where these sites get their stats from. They can't all be right. bet365 sportinglife BBC
Not a fan of 365's new stats doesn't look right visually. Used to be on target on top and off target below.
Birmingham Mail ran a piece on him last week, they said we were ahead of a queue of 3 teams that were interested.
