It’s not worked out very well imo.. yes, less wages resembling the times, since covid but tactically with players at his disposal has been very disappointing..
Not sure what you do for a living but if you were told to cull-bring spending under control and keep us competitive on a shoestring with freebies and youngsters you would struggle in your working environment. I know i would in my industry.
Bristol City predicted team vs Watford: Nigel Pearson may try small defensive experiment Nigel Pearson's Bristol City host Watford at Ashton Gate in their final Championship fixture before the World Cup break https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-predicted-team-watford-7811445 Bristol City (3-5-2): Max O’Leary; Zak Vyner, Rob Atkinson, Cam Pring; Andi Weimann, Matty James, Joe Williams, Alex Scott, Jay Dasilva; Tommy Conway, Nahki Wells
I'm down in Cornwall, my last few days this season, closing everything down ready for Winter, I'm not joking we've been strollimg along the beach this morning along with all of the dog walkers, loads of them, not a pile of dogs dodahs anywhere, the sun is shining, in fact it's like a mid summers day, the kettles going on as I speak so back to football, Up the City..
I’m pretty sure we all agree it’s a difficult environment he’s working in, the question is whether he’s getting the best out of the players available to him. Imo if we can get thorough the short term I think he’ll come good, however we have to start picking up points as we can’t afford to go down.
Antoine Semenyo decision & Pearson drops defender - Bristol City predicted XI gallery vs Watford Here’s how we predict Bristol City to line up against Watford on Saturday - including a key decision relating to Antoine Semenyo https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...-city-predicted-xi-gallery-vs-watford-3915699
TODAY I think anything other than a starting line up containing at least ... Wells Conway Weimann Scott James Sykes Williams [ ####### ? ] Vyner, Klose Pring [ #######? ] ....... then he could be looking for a way out! Playing a couple Academy players to start that maybe have had a couple hundred or considerably less minutes this season would be suicidal!
That’s where good management comes in.. many clubs has to do the same, we are not unique.. Needs must and make the most of what you have, coach accordingly.. NP has stressed on several occasions that he’s not the sort to go all out looking for players.. He’d much rather deal with youngsters from the academy..(which I agree with by the way). There are certain areas in our squad that needed addressing, whether it’s personnel or tactically.. but so far he has failed on the solution in the time he’s been here, which with his background I find strange and concerning. As for what I did for a living, had a successful business for over 30 years that needed managing, with difficult decisions required along the way. Needs must and all that..
So how are so many other clubs doing it better than us then? Love May be blind, but hate is deaf and blind…..
You need to listen more to NPs interviews.. He’s brought in players and has insisted it’s not all about the transfer market. likes to use what we have.
Another strange selection, who are the 3 CB’s, I assume Vyner, King and Pring. Who is the RWB, Scott or Weimann, it makes no sense with Sykes and Atkinson on the bench. This is the last game before 5 weeks off, so why not play the players in their right positions at the start, and if they are struggling, then adjust. We will get well beaten today…. How can the NP luvee’s not see how ludicrous his selections are…….
well about 80% OK selection there in my book! ... dont rate KING [ ] Da Silva ...um OK MAYBE HE WANTS TO KEEP HIS JOB!!!...lol
