It's the Daily Mail. While I would like this to happen, I would take anything the DM says with a generous pinch of salt...

I bet Arsenal will come up with a grand offer of 22 ml euros, will be told he costs at least twice as much and will buy some Real bench warmer for 5,9 ml, because he is apparently as good as Goetze if not better.

Actually I think at the moment it will be quite unwise to for Wenger to buy a 20+ ml player. It will not help Arsenal to win anything serious, it will not be enough to mount a serious challenge to the likes of ManCity, ManU, Barca or Real anyway. But Wenger's aura of a super efficient manager will evaporate. He will turn from a manager on a shoestring who has not won a trophy in 6 years into just a manager who has not won a trophy in 6 years. the only explanation for this buy would be same as Arshavin's - dropping out of CL. But even then - the club will spend close to 30 ml for a slight chance to earn those 30 ml. Does it make sense?

It also will create some problems re Wilshere status in the team because the German youngster ( if he is not a fool) will demand a £100K+

And with Bayern monitoring him closely I really doubt Goetze is interested anyway.

I would LOVE to see him there, but I do not hold my breath. Lets hope I am wrong.

I think you're over thinking this, it's quite simple. We now face our biggest challenge to qualify for the Champion's League to date, Goetze is a quality player and would increase our chances by improving our team, simples

Steve rowley and another head scout went to watch, that's what my source said, two senior head scouts is a good sign no? But hazard has come out saying today that he loves arsenal and dreams of Barcelona but is t her he wants to go there because of playing time, so that is also a good sign for us, gotze wouldn't demand over 100k, he is a very humble lad who loves his family, the only reason he is still in kraut land is to stay with his family, where as I think hazard would as he knows how good he is, if wenger and the board spent all our budget on just these two my god I woul be happy.

    -------------szczesney
    Sagna----mert-------tv--------Gibbs
---------wilshere (not a dm but deep lying playmaker)
    ---------ramsey
    ---------gotze
    Walcott/gervinho/AOC ------hazard
    ----------rvp

Now that's a title challenging side

Maro Goetze is a truely World Class talent.

The Mail does often spout non-sense but the fact is we did bid for Goetze in the Summer so its highly likley we'll try and get him again - hopefully before the likes of Barca/Madrid/City come calling.

If we could land him he would be a massive coup for Arsenal. Imagine a midfield with both Mario Goetze and Jack Wilshere!

There won't be time to try to get him. He will be snapped up by the likes of Barca/Madrid/City or Bayern for £25 million long before Wenger even makes an offer (£10-15 million) for him

Why would Goetze join an Average team like Arsenal? Dortmund are much better then you, so he will stay put.

Wenger tells Telefoot he is interested in Eden Hazard: 'He's one of best young players in Europe and is among the players we are following'

I see Hazard coming to us as more realistic than Goetze.

Goetze looks like he will be staying at Dortmund for a while whereas Hazard wants to move next year.

    @SuperJackWilshere19

Mata would be an Arsenal player right now if the Cesc Fabregas and Nasri transfers hadn't taken so long to complete.
We had an agreement with Valencia and the player but then Chelsea came calling...
