pity buttler didn't sand back and let hayes get a century and all but there you go.

I think you're all aware that I'm a test match man. However, against a superb side like India, that's a truly exceptional performance. 4 overs to spare with no wickets lost is unreal. We've surely got way to much for the other sub-continentals

Its all a bit of luck mate.

they lost a couple early wickets.

When we lost buttler early we lost to ireland and scraped by sri lanka by the skin of our teeth.

inevitably over just 20 overs play its a bashing game and chasing game and you get the lucky breaks or don't.

then the toss help England today and set the conditions up for this

and finally the skills of bowling are no longer about wickets par se but about restricting runs within a very narrow box of operation. full bowling, variable pace and bounce but you have to bowl in the slot and take being bashed all over.

If hales mis times just one of those and skys i does he's really sweeping for 6 like... us tone and the whole complexion of the thing changes.

India lost early wickets but got just off par score of 168, they did well enough for that last 3/4 overs.

thier bowling was absolute trash and the couldn't get past hales smashing them all over.

It looks like the final rules are changed to try ensure a full game.

More time on Sunday into their nighttime to get the 20 overs in and reserve day Monday.

They seem very eager to avoid a run rate result.

Rain forecast for both Sunday and Monday so looks likely going to be a reduced game unless get lucky.

Suddenly winning the toss and bowling first has become huge.

I think its showers rather than full on downpours we ae talking 2-3 hours max for any t20 game.

they can get though and innings in 70-80 mins. I'd be really disappointed if they couldn't find periods to get through it over days.

they've even said it will go over the 2 days so not even restarting.

But the 2nd day will be under same rules as day 1. So if they start in day 1 and it’s a 10 over game, can still only complete the 10 over game on day 2.

Will just be one to wait and see, but def want to be chasing knowing what you need to get. Plus England always better chasing than setting anyway.

Pretty even start so far. Few wickets, some good bowling by Curran and rashid especially.

    livingstone being targeted.

Brilliant from rashid. Wicket maiden after livingstone went for big runs.

Fact the ball is spinning may be a worry when comes to englands batting though.

    Well....

This has turned. You'd fear with the turn on spin amd vounce on seam that England will have a job on their hands here as well.

85/4. Absolutely brilliant from rawhide and a nick from stokes has given England a big boost here.

    After 12 overs as well.

8 overs to get 80 for Pakistan

8 overs to restrict them to 50 say for England.

    Poor fielding salt.

Made.look a hero but actually didn't get hand on ball

I feel as though nelgand need another eicket here.

Butter and Hayes wickets getting more and more crucial here. The ball is doing enough to make this non routine even if it's 140 to chase.

If we let them 160 from here I'd be unhappy.

Bounce is really problematic. Another wicket gone.

We need this to be a nice easy total and not chase smashing the ball

Good places shots for 4 are the way to go in this conditions

Sam Curran been brilliant all tournament. If England win this, fair shout for player of the tournament.

Think leading wicket taker now. 3-12 from his 4, and those 4 were in opening power player and back end of the innings. <applause>

    Wow. Pakistan have folded.

131/8 with 4 balls to go.

Jordan and Curran and lethal death bowlers.

That's it 138 for the win.

Have to get ahead of the run rate and stay there.

    No big chasing shots needed
