You can't prevent someone from selling something they own, as long as it's legal.
Biscan is right, imo - they can sell and sail off into the sunset (literally) with nothing more than the fans' curses ringing in their ears for a bit.
Fans can appeal to their better nature to ensure the club went to an ethical-ish owner, but no more than that I don't think.

Anyway, I've still seen nothing concrete about this "sale", to counter the equivocal nature of FSG's statement.
Until there is a definite statement of intent, or until Dribs confirms it - it ain't happening.

Difference this time is if they are selling the club why would they care what the fans think of them?

The other things you mention, prices, super lesgue etc they were still gonna be owners so didn’t wanna have a bad relationship.

It’s like you were trying to redecorste your house and yours mrs disagreed with the decisions you wouldn’t go ahead

If you were selling it cos you’d split up, doesn’t matter what she thinks as won’t see her again.

I agree with saint, I don't think the owners are looking to sell, more like they are looking for investors, Klopp said as much today in his presser. It may well be the first step in their exit plan (of letting go gently).

Obviously fans can't prevent the club from being sold. But imo they can influence who it is sold to or rather not sold to. I don't think they would burden Klopp with owners who they know would go against everything he stood for. As I said just my opinion.

I think that's what they're saying in public, it keeps the value high and stops a 'desperate to sell'.

Its a soft launch to see who would be interested imo, if the right bid comes along FSG will be out of there as fast as the money hits the bank. They've always been clear they aren't here for the long term, we're an investment.

Using another house analogy - if you were selling your house and had got on really well with the neighbours all the time you lived there, would you sell to a known drug pusher and lumber your neighbours with that even though you would no longer be living there to care or would you sell to a nice family because your neighbours deserve to have good people next door?

I've posed this question before but I don't remember any answers: to all those desperate to see the back of FSG, who would you like to see as owners, realistically?
I haven't seen any suggestions yet that would be an improvement, and most would seem a bloody nightmare.

Look from the fsg era we got massive revenue growth and a 60k red brick anfield plus a permanent proper training facility. That's not the worst outcome in the world from the point of view of someone in 2010 awaiting administration.

As for a new owner, we need to call fsg what they are, small time hustlers. They got in just like hicks and Gillett looking for a leg up the totem pole.

The types that are out now are major consortiums of the absolute top players plus global investors who are out to make a lot of money in what they see as a grossly under exploited market.

Think amazon's arsenal or spurs documentary ****e on steroids, think of ultra premium experiences for the rich while fans are pushed out.

    OR

The ego tripping oil state despots looking for kudos on a global scale.

Fsg are in the ha'penny place compared to these sorts, they wint give two ****s about SoS or fans imo. People should be careful what they wish for
